Vaj
He’s incredible and the main reason for our upturn in form from last season and early this season. I don’t want to turn it into slagging off Longstaff but the difference between the two is massive. Didn’t expect Bruno to not be our best centre mid but here we are

alexf
Pundits don't seem to be noticing it do they but he's pretty much man of the match for us every game if we're honest. Lost count the number of fires he puts out. Just constant.

Has a weakness not to try and get a grip of it with a bit composure and retain possession for the team if not himself. If anyone can be bothered. Around 30-45 seconds into the 2nd half last night. No one challenging him and time to bring it down yet heads it with no thought straight to a Leicester player. Has a few of these per game that he needs to cut out. He’s the very least of our worries when it comes ball retention and decision making We are poor too often in possession in general, and when it comes to ball retention. Hoping that it can improve because it really needs to. Edited Wednesday at 07:51 by Ikon
NotRich Posted Wednesday at 08:51 Share Posted Wednesday at 08:51 I'm with LFEE on this, like. Tonali's defensive work is otherworldly but he could be a lot calmer/more careful in possession for someone with his quality and in the position he plays. Hoping it'll come with more experience of the league.
Shays Given Tim Flowers Posted Wednesday at 09:00 Share Posted Wednesday at 09:00 He looks to play the ball as quickly as possible, so it’ll happen. The net gain from Tonali is sky high.
NotRich Posted Wednesday at 09:02 Share Posted Wednesday at 09:02 Think it may just be wanting to see him taking more responsibility. He used to run the show for Milan, but here he seems happy to do as you say and shift it to someone else ASAP. Same goes for wanting to see him on set pieces, etc.
Shays Given Tim Flowers Posted Wednesday at 09:04 Share Posted Wednesday at 09:04 It may well be coaching. He’s not on set pieces for two reasons I believe. He can shoot really well from the edge of the area if the ball comes out. He has incredible recovery pace and ball recovery if we are countered. I think his delivery is great but I doubt we will see him on set pieces often at all.
gbandit Posted Wednesday at 09:13 Share Posted Wednesday at 09:13 Hopefully if we had more recovery pace in defence we’ll see him take more set pieces as I’m convinced he’s our best option for free kicks

I'll bet Jack Colback's passing stats were 95% positive, can't imagine he gave the ball away at all considering he passed it backwards before anyone could get near him. Get the ball to the playmaker asap and look for the runs of Barnes, Murphy & Isak? In an era where people are bemoaning Pep's tactics, we seem to have a way of trying to get the ball forward as quick as we can.
