He’s incredible and the main reason for our upturn in form from last season and early this season. I don’t want to turn it into slagging off Longstaff but the difference between the two is massive. Didn’t expect Bruno to not be our best centre mid but here we are

Pundits don't seem to be noticing it do they but he's pretty much man of the match for us every game if we're honest.

Lost count the number of fires he puts out. Just constant.

After Zola maybe.

Was thinking of Zola, but feel as he didn't win a cup with us that takes him down a peg unfortunately.

Excited to see him next week vs Man Utd, last time he ran the show against them.

hopefully he joins the ranks of tiote and jowlinton in producing a one man wrecking machine of a performance against manu at sjp.

Bit hard to describe but It’s more the short ones when ball bouncing around a bit but in his vicinity. Has a weakness not to try and get a grip of it with a bit composure and retain possession for the team if not himself.

If anyone can be bothered. Around 30-45 seconds into the 2nd half last night. No one challenging him and time to bring it down yet heads it with no thought straight to a Leicester player.

Has a few of these per game that he needs to cut out.

He’s the very least of our worries when it comes ball retention and decision making  We are poor too often in possession in general, and when it comes to ball retention. Hoping that it can improve because it really needs to.

I'm with LFEE on this, like. Tonali's defensive work is otherworldly but he could be a lot calmer/more careful in possession for someone with his quality and in the position he plays. Hoping it'll come with more experience of the league.

Think it may just be wanting to see him taking more responsibility. He used to run the show for Milan, but here he seems happy to do as you say and shift it to someone else ASAP.

Same goes for wanting to see him on set pieces, etc.

He looks to play the ball as quickly as possible, so it’ll happen. The net gain from Tonali is sky high.

Yep. I'll bet Jack Colback's passing stats were 95% positive, can't imagine he gave the ball away at all considering he passed it backwards before anyone could get near him.

Is that not part of the reijg around swapping Tonali & Bruno though? Get the ball to the playmaker asap and look for the runs of Barnes, Murphy & Isak? In an era where people are bemoaning Pep's tactics, we seem to have a way of trying to get the ball forward as quick as we can.

"However, the Milan Prosecutor has started a new investigation following the midfielders’ interviews with Italian authorities in 2023 and after scrutinising their devices.

Tonali and Fagioli will be fined if found guilty, but do not risk another ban, as the alleged wrongdoing occurred between December 2021 and October 2023, for which the Italian pair have already been punished."
