AyeDubbleYoo Posted Monday at 20:30 Share Posted Monday at 20:30 I heard Ugarte was good before he came to England.

Sean
Reminds me of a good old fashioned 90s centre mid. Hard as nails, full of running, good at both ends of the pitch. And can put his laces through the ball. Edited 16 hours ago by Sean
JP
Is he on the Isak level? In terms of ability for their own position?

alexf
His run at the end whilst mightly impressive, I'd rather he didn't at 4:1 up with minutes remaining and 2 more games in quick succession to follow. Would rather he saved his legs as much as possible

If we base it on this season alone then yes, hell yeah. Rumour has it that he was pretty beloved at Milan to. A tough start with us, but that was probably because of certain reasons. Hovagod
Not sure he’s quite where Isak is personally. I love him deeply but with Isak we need to accept (wrong word- realise?) that we have chanced into a player that will go down in history as one of the best. LionOfGosforth
Think we're already at the point where it's impossible to imagine our midfield without him. He brings the engine and athleticism but adds technical ability, game intelligence and an almost English-like drive and passion that elevates the midfield to another level. Seems to have the best qualities of all the great English midfielders down the years allied to Italian traits you don't often see. Like an Italian Robson. Gets up and down the pitch, tackles, give and go's, gees up the crowds. Oh and he scores goals too. Fuck me, what do we have here

andycap
Yet the Milan folk were saying he's just okay not as good as pirlo or gattuso couldn't play the number 6 role. 😂 We Overpayed yada tada yada.
Vinny Green Balls
Many Milan fans were absolutely gutted. One of my buddies in Milan still complains about it.

Yeah but they said he was limited could only play in a two. I think he's developed massively from his time at Milan.

He just had a bit excess energy to burn, and time was running out 😉
Vinny Green Balls
How many people are you talking about? My buddy and his friends thought he was a Gattuso but with significantly more techincal ability, but also thought that he could adapt anywhere in the center of midfield. Their forums had a significant number of people who thought they were losing a gem. Sounds like you are generalizing a bit. It reminds me a bit of Draymond Green claiming that everyone doubted the Warriors in 2019, after they just won 3 of 4 championships.
