Hopefully just moving Jesmond to Darras Hall.Ā
Ā

FWIW she’s just saying ā€œmove to the new houseā€. Feels more like a simple move than leaving the country or starting a whole new life etc. I don’t think she would announce that on Instagram if Sandro had already signed for someone else and nobody knew.Ā

Ā

Possibly back to Italy for the summer?Ā

Ā

Makes sense if his cars are all here and he has the money to ship them back for a few months.

You wouldn’t ship RHD cars to Italy for the summer.

I don't follow his wife on IG or anything, but someone I know who gets into all of that and likes to namedrop this and that player and their wife that they know through school/where their friends live etc said something of the lines that 'it says it all that since they had their baby she's hardly ever in Newcastle'

I think she’s been back in Italy since after the last home game, they’re moving to a place in Lake Garda according to the crack from the flight last week.

Find it hard to be too bitter about it if they are leaving tbh, they both gave it a good crack here. She was really positive about the move and if she wants to bring the baby up at home it's not a massive surprise.Ā

Ā

I just don't see how we get what he's worth from an Italian club, so not sure he he will move back permanently with her.Ā

Yeah he’s not moving to a club in Italy if he goes, they’ve just bought a very nice base for themselves in Italy if the rumour is to be believed.Ā

Now we've got our big sale out the door and, hopefully, have our destiny somewhat in our hands as far as the transfer market goes - I really hope Sandro stays. Feels like we've only had a glimpse of him really given all his best stuff was in the second half of 24/25. But wow, what a fucking player he was in that spell.Ā

Ā

Give us another year son and let's see if we can course correct and do something else special. Same goes to you, @BrunoĀ (not the Benfica fan).

We’re going to need more money than the Gordon sale for a rebuild - not that that means any specific player has to go, but it’s sell to buy.Ā

But last year we had the Wilson replacement budget and thenĀ on top of that the unplanned sale of Isak, then money supposedly available if needed in January and now the Gordon sale?Ā

Regardless of whether he’s staying or not, it’s completely ridiculous to be criticizing the mother of a new child for wanting to be closer to home. And they can probably make that work as a family without him having to move clubs anyway.

Never understood the ā€˜we have money to spend’ in Jan stuff.

Ā

The only thing which dictates money available is the extant FFP rules in place - we’ve got 85% (+15%) of next year’s turnover available. Ā Our turnover next year will drop off compared to this year’s- and even if you push it up to its maximum possible, you’ll be looking at roughly Ā£360m-ish. Ā Our current amortised transfer fees would be around Ā£150m (the figure for 23/24 was Ā£100m, our splurges last summer will have upped it by 50%), our wage bill is around the Ā£250m mark (which includes for all the club’s wages, some of which will be deductible). Ā Under the new rules we’ll be skirting somewhere between 85-100% of income next season.Ā
Ā

If the Gordon sale falls under the old FFP rules (which it should, as the new rules don’t start until 1 July) then any profit isn’t available. Ā The Athletic is reporting it’ll be included in the new rules - then that’ll give Ā£13m + Gordon’s wages for the summer. Ā In other words, enough for perhaps two Ā£30m players to be brought in.Ā
Ā

Last summer fucked us, the lack of Europe has hurt us, if the rumbling about difficulties securing a good FOS sponsor are true then that doesn’t help either. Ā We’ve gambled and overstretched.

Ā

I don’t think it’s the end of the world - I think a proper clear out is needed in any case. Ā The bad moves last summer have hampered this summer, though. Ā
