Surely he wouldn't have continued on with a popped shoulder? Hopefully just a bang and a couple weeks out

Depends how far it popped out i think. It clearly wasn't a full dislocation, but even a slight slip of the joint can do proper tendon damage

If he needs time to recover then let him recover. No short term sticking plasters that cause longer term damage.

We've still got a short while before the fixtures really start coming in. Tonali needs to be fit for them when they do.

In the end  felt more upset at the injuries than I did with the result, praying that Tonali's should is miss one game and has the international break to recover.

Ramsey looked sharp when he came on, obviously doesn't offer the physicality of Joey but based on last nights cameo I think he will cover quite well.

How did he injure himself?  Was it just a heavy impact thing?  Hoping it's just a stinger and he'll be alright after the international break and he hasn't done anything that requires an op or a long rest period.  Surely he wouldn't have been able to play on if he dislocated it.

My hope, but then Botman ACL!

Fitting the theme of us playing Liverpool, Ekitike pushed him over and he landed awkwardly.

I think (hope) it's an impact injury, I've had them on my shoulder and you're sore and rusty for a couple of weeks.

Edit: Was it Gakpo? Thought it was Hugo

Murphy was out for 90 days or so when his shoulder went.

You’d imagine this could be the same.

Would that be the whole CL campaign, if we didn’t progress past the league stage?

If he was back for December, would be 4 UCL games left I think? (50% of league).

I wouldn’t be surprised if he straps it up and comes back after the international

break.

The fact he wasn’t in a sling is very positive - could be an issue with the joint - so the more optimistic prognosis is circa 3 weeks

Didn’t Murphy have it popped back in, came back playing and did it again. Then had to have the op?

I guess once it pops oot, you can pop it back in, but its always liable to pop oot again.

Had on, we talking about shoulders here?

???
