Made everyone else bar maybe Livramento for a bit look like they were there as part of a training session put on just for him.

Their right wing back ( Hugo Bueno) had Tino a couple of times in ways I've seen no one do. Someone to keep a watch on

Fair comment, I thought Tino was excellent but he got bested a couple of times by quality. One was a check back down the line run at pace that was very difficult to defend

Yeah, kind of what I mean. He had some sloppy moments as well despite also showing some real quality. Was Bueno their 3? Thought he looked tidy as well

Interestingly we’ve been linked to him in the past

Have we ? I'm terrible with names. Didnt know if that's his standard or today was just a good game for him. Is he a wing back normally or can he play full back ?

Milan fan that was around when the Thiaw signing happened said his best skillset is he can basically hold a midfield together by himself.

Definitely saw that today

I don't think it was sloppy as much as he just got done. Kudos to Bueno for that.

No I know, I'm saying Tino was sloppy as an aside from that. A pass or two and inexplicably letting a pass from Burn go past him and out for a throw.

Aye, I think the pass from Burn was him trying for it with his left and then realising its his left.

It's mad how he seems so underrated outside of Newcastle fans, like [emoji38] Feel like champions league performances will probably change that this season.

Saw a tweet from a Liverpool fan before our game against them where they did a combined eleven and some had Bruno in but not one of them even mentioned Tonali. Couldn’t believe it. He’s comfortably ahead of Bruno in my opinion

He was quality, can’t remember someone rinsing Tino like he did first half. Played both sides too. Looks a good player

I don't know their like consistent levels like the rest of you but I thought this was the case for the large majority of the team today.

Only ones I felt comfortable they weren't going to give it away was Woltemade, Schar and Tonali. The rest were very sloppy in possession, granted I thought Murphy was good but for different reasons.

Yeah, nailed it. Very unlike us, even this season, and yet this was the one we won. Typical football. Was wondering whether thinking about Barca might have something to do with it.

Was a classic Murphy performance. Not that good in general play but willing to try things and was dangerous with end product once again.

Yeah I watched the Liverpool and Villa games and thought they played well but the lack of a recognised striker probably was the difference.

I didn't want to assume anything about the players because a 3 game sample size is fuck all.
