Dubrovnik Dubravka Posted Saturday at 20:33 Share Posted Saturday at 20:33 I'm feeling optimistic that Man City or Arsenal are waiting to 'do a Liverpool' and make the sale easier to stomach. Just please don't make it Spurs.

woody Posted Saturday at 20:36 Share Posted Saturday at 20:36 (edited) I like Tonali a lot as a player, and think he gets underrated at points, but this would be a fantastic deal for us. It feels like we’ve hit a mandatory refresh stage of the team (which should’ve been last year) and this is the cost of that. nufc4eva Posted Saturday at 20:36 Share Posted Saturday at 20:36 Thiaw and Tonali played most minutes for us last season in a team that couldn't string 2 passes together, a front 3 not functioning and a midfield that often had nothing apart from Tonali trying. He wasn't great and yes Bruno helped steer us as captain but he had really shocking games as well. Doesn't matter how good Tonali is, playing in that team would make most look shit. 100m is good money if invested properly and probably right thing to do but I do think he will be mint for whoever signs him
SUPERTOON Posted Saturday at 20:36 Share Posted Saturday at 20:36 Interesting to see what we do in terms of a replacement, other than Camara, we haven’t really been linked to a midfielder have we ?

There's absolutely no excuse in terms if incomings and bringing in quality replacements. Woltemade is being linked with a move away for the same price we paid for him as well. We should have money to spend, especially when this season gone we were on course to bring in over £400m in commercial revenue.

timeEd32 Posted Saturday at 20:38 Share Posted Saturday at 20:38 Thank you Lee. So Spurs are interested at 20% off the price we want. Gonna need to do better. Also Downie’s tweet a good reminder we are often getting information on a delay. Really need to stop drawing massive conclusions based on little drops of news. I love how teams know what the price is and know that low balling won’t get a player, but it’s part of the plan. What could they possibly learn? The only plan they could possibly have is if they want the player to kick up a fuss.
