Spurs are about to feel how weve been feeling lately. Hes not going there.

That’s what I think. I think they are being used to bait out other interested clubs. For some reason Man Utd is my guess.

At the end of the season, when there were rumours of him leaving, I was hoping Juve or some other Italian clubs were going to get him, not fucking Spurs.

Who gives a fuck where he goes as long as they pay up?

I’d rather him not go to teams I see as rivals. We are never competing with City any time soon so I’d rather he went there

On the flip side, Tonali is never worth £100m so if Spurs end up wasting that much on him it's arguably better for us.

For me, I couldn't careless about this guy at this stage. He's been desperate to leave and the efforts by his representative have been shameless and damaging.

I hope Eddie has a handle on how he wants to play next summer because Sandro has flaws but his recovery runs and defensive work are absolutely vital to how we currently set up. I really don't want to see us trying to do the same things we used and scratching our heads as to why it isn't working ala the rat situation.

Baited or not I still think Spurs ‘feels’ right.  I don’t think he’s looked anything like good enough for a top side, he’s the embodiment of a Spurs player

Personal feelings about De Zerbi and his Greenwood comments aside, I could see Tonali doing well in his system.

I think Eddie demands a lot of invention and thought from midfielders, especially now teams have figured us out somewhat. De Zerbi's system is very automated. Taking that problem solving away from Tonali could be the simplification his game needs.

Feelings aside if you don’t want to be here any longer I’m happy to sell you for the max we can get for you. You’ll be immortalised in my mind for that cup lifting season and win but it’ll end there.

we moved the boat out for him, our best ever team needed him in the CL and we lost him for his own stupidity, we and the club supported him unconditionally and 2 seasons later he remains quiet but his reps are gasping for him to find another place to be. Later brother.

The fee has to be right though.

Yep agree of course @cubaricho

think the nonsense of the munoz gazump has awoken the beast inside of me and I’m cracking off on anything NUFC related at this point. Annoyed to fuck we don’t seem to learn from our lessons and we have such a deep pocketed owner who’s getting literally beaten to signings for another summer going. I mean at some point have some bloody pride!

It's a big fee, but the chances of signing someone better for cheaper is slim so it weakens us in a big way.

24/25 Tonali I agree with you.

25/26 Tonali, we can find someone cheaper and better

Given that we're trying to get back towards the top 6, it's the 24/5 Tonali we need to replace and it's the 24/5 Tonali fee we're receiving.

I do agree with this but it's one thing losing your supposed best players to Barcelona or Liverpool and another letting Tottenham bully you and take a player off you. I know they have a big stadium and more money than we can ever spend but it's still Spurs ffs.

Are we being bullied here?

I’m really not sure where are tbh.

Tonali isn’t worth £100m, if he wants to go to Spurs, that’s up to him but I’m not sure us selling someone for more than they’re worth (to anyone) constitutes us being ‘bullied’.

At the risk of repeating myself, Tonali going to Spurs reflects poorly on him, not us.
