I doubt there is in reality, but I do worry about them creating a narrative like that and then it becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Anderson
Doesn't help that I've convinced myself we're due one. Every other club who comes into money seems to have an expensive flop or two, our hit rate so far has been spot on. Batman, Bruno & Isak all walking in and looking right at home. If this was true I doubt that Newcastle would follow through with all that money. We only want players who are fully commited.

I’m getting visions of a 23 year old getting upset because the club he adores are selling him, then using this pain with NUFCs help to get over it and settle. Then fucking smashing it. It’s fair to say I have no worries. Edited June 23, 2023 by Hudson

They’ll have a small team of people helping them acclimatise. Would be a bigger issue if the club was still chaotic. Once he realises what a professional outfit the club is he’ll be fine. Mazzy
I call BS on this story. He saw Maldini get the sack and I imagine that was enough for him to decide he didn't want to work under those owners.

Hanshithispantz
"Broke down" If anyone is unaware of what happens in reality when a player is told they're being sent off against their wishes, look to Isaac Hayden, Ciaran Clark, or Jamal Lewis. STM
Italians are so weirdly defensive over the state of their football. When we had MA, at least we understood why players continually moved on to better things. It's seems Milan are still holding onto that hope that things can return to the glory days. Genuine. We were going to take PSG to court as the deal had been done so they give us Ginola for a bargain fee.
STM
I'm sure he was upset, for like a minute, until he realised he was getting 3 times the wages, to play in the best league in the world and to play alongside the sexiest midfielder known to man. Once he arrives on Tyneside and he gets one of Brunos hugs, he will soon realise he's made the right choice. Then he hears his reception from the Gallowgate and he will say "AC who?". Also the fact he agreed to come to us before the clubs had agreed a fee kinda indicates it’s bollocks ?

Keegans Export
The idea that we put so much on character and dressing room unity then proceed to spend £60m on a guy who's scouting report read "Technically sound, hard-working, has a tattoo of Alessandro Nesta on his right arse cheek, hates bridges and is allergic to pease pudding"
