Y’all would be apoplectic if we signed three 19 year-old wingers in a window.

We signed a 20 year old and an 18 year old albeit on loan last season

Didn't we buy Minteh to sell?  All the biggest clubs are good at developing players to sell for PSR reasons

The only one’s who will ever know that are Howe and Ashworth.. I think they were (Minteh and Kuol) signed with a view to coming back into the fold after gaining more experience and proving good enough.

We just happened to end up in a situation where we had to sell, so that narrative suits to make it look under more control.

I refuse to believe they risked a hefty punishment on several factors turning in their favour. 1) Minteh’s loan being that successful.. if he’d flopped or not been picked by a coach.. wave goodbye to 30m and 2) the fee being as high as it was..

I think there was probably more of an acceptance that we were going to lose a purple this summer, something we seem to have avoided now.

Don't worry about what Brighton are doing. Admire it fine, but they have different objectives.

We can't be what they are and be a genuine contender for top 4.

Buying to sell and real ambition don't go hand in hand so our remit will be different.

The players we sign will be the best that we can go for at a given point in time, we buy young so if the the club does begin to outgrow their use, we can make back a good portion of that transfer fee if not more on occasion.

I'm assuming Paul Mitchell's objective will be to get the best value on the pitch that's within our budget.

If we have to abide by PSR as it is - we absolutely have to buy and sell.... including our very best players.

Rumours that City are on top in their battle against PL might yet result in a momentus transfer window for us.

These kind of rumours can be ignored, we just have to wait for the decisions. Not really the kind of thing to leak are these.

Legal cases don’t really work like that though. There is a single judgement at the end after both sides have presented arguments. Both sides will be confident of success, or they wouldn’t have taken it forward.

Sorry but the idea of no leaks is just not what happens in 2024

Yeah, just curious as to where the rumours are, I’ve not seen a thing about it.

A City fan from work 🤣

Think it will be tricky to one for them to win if it’s went to arbitration? 3 man panel … City get to choose someone… opposition get to choose one… PL get to choose the 3rd so logic dictates they’ll lose 2-1 without a cast iron case/dirt to chuck.

A three man arbitration panel with fears the third one might not be impartial? Sounds familiar. Ah well, maybe it won't even get that far. Maybe they've got a trunk of full evidence that will make the PL fill their undies at the first pre-trial hearing, tuned into online by 30,000 viewers.

all the talk of Brighton is well and fine but remember they have taken a massive risk on the manager choice. They usually get it right but lot to prove out there.
