NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

Probably doing Mbemuo a disservice, but I don’t see much between him and Barnes, if both played consistently on their strongest wings.

What we lack badly in the side in final third, is someone who can get ball on half turn in pockets, so whilst Mbeumo is strong output, I don’t think he moves us needle wise. Just be shifting goals around the team, and results staying the same with similar struggles in particular games.

Ideally you sign both though, as Mbeumo can be 2nd striker too, so both him and Dibling are getting many minutes and starts across the season. But we can’t unless some wild new deals come in or Bruno goes for £100m.

How do people think Mbeumo would work in a team that isn’t mainly about transitions? Because I think if we are to evolve properly then we will have to become more possession based whether we like it or not. Not mostly good when there’s tons of transitions and space.

I’m with you, at the start of the season I’d expected us to lean back to full on press we had success with but we arnt heading in that direction anymore.

We need more creativity in wide areas. Olise (although never likely) would have been a perfect signing for this season.

I have a sneaky suspicion Rashford is exactly the kind of “lost” player Eddie could turn around, but it will never happen due to the costs involved.

The lad can't motivate himself to play for his home club

I'd certainly take Mbuemo or Semenyo over Dibling right now no contest. Not saying I wouldn't like Dibling, but we really could do with a player who can perform  and be trusted immediately. I would imagine if Dibling came in January we'd barely see him get a game until next season knowing how Howe likes to slowly introduce new young players.

Bakayoko would offer us the trickery and can go both ways, obvious caveat being it’s the Dutch league and been a few flops from there.

More cost effective transfer wise and more chance of improving the finances should he come good in PL.

I don't think we should sign him.  His name is too confusing.

Last 2 PSV wingers been canny - Gakpo and Madueke

It’ll boil down to the level of scouting in terms of how much we have watched him and what his underlying stats are -  YouTube compilations can be biased

Kubo is probably your most guaranteed success and fits our profile the best - but I wouldn’t mind Bakayoko either - just want a RW

Not exactly a transfer rumour but just needed to highlight what a fuckin' idiot this bloke is.

When asked where Grealish should move to, Deeney told talkSPORT: “Newcastle, easy. There’s loads of teams, anyone outside the top four.

“Anyone outside the top four, he would easily go into and dominate, if he went to Newcastle, it would be considered a massive step down for him.

“But it’s a great club with a great fanbase and I think Jack needs to feel that again, feel that he’s loved, feel that the fanbase love him, but also he’s the man to drive them forward.”

Grealish can't get a game, quite rightly, ahead of Gordon for England.

Ps while we're talking about Man City's left wing they could do alot worse that Harvey Barnes there. He'd bag a shit load.

Grealish and Doku piss fart about too much.

They could do a lot better than Harvey Barnes too.

Doku is great, I hear alot of criticism of him but I think he's a fantastic talent and far from the problem at City. Would love him here. There's few players as exciting as him around anymore when they get the ball.

Dibling would be my top target for that position for a variety of reasons, talent, profile, cost, PSR etc. Would avoid Rashford at all costs. If we could stretch to a GK or a CB as well for development that would be a class Jan.

Here's a shortlist

GK - Kelleher / Trafford

CB - Skrinar on loan til summer, get Silva, Diomande or another highly rated young RCB in summer, Harwood-Bellis as secondary CB too

RW - Dibling in the summer (can't see Soton letting him go in Jan) - would love a Kubo level player but may not be possible. Got a feeling they may try and sign Sane from Bayern, Guler on loan would be amazing too. Madueke? Mbuemo. Raphina, Ferran Torres have been linked in the past too. Roony Bardjhi is another one and was recently pictured with Callum Wilson.

CF - Kolo Muani on loan with option, Jonathon David, Cunha, Delap, Sesko in the summer

Problem isn't the players, but their instructions from the manager. Barnes wouldn't be allowed to shoot from distance under pep. He wants tge ball Brough to the box for Haaland.

Should be aiming much higher with our keeper targets imo.
