NUFC Transfer Rumours

Cherki would be my dream signing too. No matter how he his defensively/attitude wise. Just pure ridiculous natural talent and then some. The space he would bring for others in the team would make a massive difference. Would make us so much more unpredictable and creative.

He is exactly type I’ve wanted. A player with flair and guile. Very very much would prefer him ahead of someone like Bakayoko. He’s more of a HBA type of natural talent meanwhile Bakayoko is more in the mould of Doku/ASM who rely more on “self educated” technical ability and trickery. Some players are just born with that ridiculously smooth technical ability and flair and intelligence /awareness.

Cherki I’d love. There’s big question marks, but he gets you off your seat and that’s what I want. Players with personality, not to end up as a machine boring mentality that we’ve seen of Man City, where individual brilliance is reduced.

Cherki would be an exciting signing for a number of reasons.

Obviously, primarily because he's an absolute joy to watch stylistically.

However, it would also show some commitment from Eddie to the idea of evolving our playing style. He's been trying to do it this year to mixed results, fair to say. Bringing in Cherki would be committing to the idea by bringing in a player that is going to offer us a lot more in possession, sacrificing something in terms of work rate to get it.

Would be all for it, anyway.

Not my preferred type of wide player but I wouldn’t be against going for Kolo-Muani tbh. We are so light with only Isak being good enough to lead the line so it would be a great loan to cover two positions. He would also give us another threat in the air. His wages are a bit high (200k-ish?) but I’m sure the financial part isn’t impossible to sort out. Not sure about his character as I really don’t know much about him outside of football. Him on loan plus another permanent signing would set us up very nicely for the rest of the season.

What’s the reason he’s being available now and not a part of their plans, anyone know? Heard someone on here talking about him being a wife beater? Recent stuff?

Don't know about the domestic stuff but when Ramos got injured he tried Asensio as a false 9 which worked I think, although I've even seen them play Dembele through the middle aswell so Enrique might not just fancy him in any of three forward positions for whatever reason, every time I've seen them this year I'm sure it's been Doue or Barcola left and Kang-in Lee or Dembele right.

Yeah. I think Doue started centrally when Monaco got beat 4-2 or what it was.

On football ability alone it would be a great addition I think.

I might be wrong. But I read the last bit like it was Kolo Muani. But I think it was in response to someone suggesting Antony might be a good signing for £20m!

I know some people don’t think we’ll do anything in Jan but I think we’ll be active pending some outgoings. It’s still an important window after the debacle in the summer and it’s important for Mitchel too. We’re not cut adrift from European race and it wouldn’t take wholesale changes to make a really positive impact on the team for the second half of the season. RW signing would be immense.

A RISING Scottish Premiership star is on the radar of at least two massive Premier League clubs, it's being claimed.

It is said Arsenal and Newcastle are both scouting the teenager and watched him score his first professional goal over the weekend.

St Mirren starlet Evan Mooney opened his account for the Paisley club when he netted their second goal at McDiarmid Park on Saturday.  It was a moment to remember for the 17-year-old on what was only his second senior appearance.

And it's a goal that could have boosted his chances of securing a life-changing move down south.  That's because the Gunners and Magpies have been keeping a close eye on him and watched him find the net in Perth, according to the Daily Record.

It is suggested Phil Cowan has been keeping tabs on the youngster for Arsenal while Newcastle Under-21 boss Diarmaid O'Carroll also rates him very highly. O'Carroll is well aware of Mooney's talents and has been for some time since his time in Paisley as Stephen Robinson's assistant.

The Irishman left his role at the SMiSA Stadium to take over the coaching duties down south in September.  But now he is reportedly looking to bring the youngster with him several months on.

Not a rumour but an idea. Deli Alli is a potentially great player.  Wouldn't cost much and maybe all he needs is Eddie to put his arm around him to transform him into the player he once was. Give him a contract until the end of the season and see if some magic can happen.

Thought?

How often do you ever see players like this get reignited to their former glory?

It's the same reason we shouldnt and wont touch Rashford.

I've never rated Rashford but Alli has genius in him, that doesn't just dissappear.

I've said my piece, I'll let it go now.
