Obviously we would need to be compensated for the player we have lost so maybe they should double their contributions so we can get reimbursed as well for our losses.

Because between May and end of June some clubs will probably be in the shit regarding PSR and we might be able to take advantage.

 

Southampton will be relegated by then so players like Dibling might be cheaper also.

Because it’s not a like for like swap in the monetary sense. We bring in a Guehi-priced player and have to sell a purple for big money, but the rub is that the purple sale opens us up for at least another player in that 50+ bracket too (along with the Geuhi-priced player).

I would imagine that the naming rights were fucked by Ashley naming the stadium Sports Direct Arena or whatever the fuck it was but not because of the noise it made but more likely because of the noise it didn’t make. Everyone just called it St James Park still. Why is someone going to throw a fuckload of cash at naming a stadium and your company name won’t even be used? 
 

I’d imagine it’s another reason we’re getting a new stadium.

As in higher commercial revenue if we manage to get some more in or we have higher revenue this season ? I thought it would be lower this season tbh without champions league.

The real reason is we enter into a new PSR window on 1 June for the year 25/26 and we lose the 22/23 window entirely where we spent big on Isak, Botman etc.

I’ve just resigned myself to the fact that we’ll not be signing anyone of significance until summer 2026. Going off what Eddie says. People say he lies but he’s been very consistent with this message. He hasn’t given that date specifically but has said “things should look very different for us (on the positive side) after this summer”.

I still retain a deep level of calm post takeover. Doesn't mean I dont get pissed off to the hilt but I think I have that inner peace that even if things go shit we shouldn't get relegated and their is next year and the year after.

 

Not sure that's a great attitude to have Got into but we are still inevitable imo. It's just a slow build. 

 

I'd rather we were moving quicker. I expect PIF and everyone associated with the club feels the same. 

 

 

I think we will take the time to do it by the book as best we can and smartly. We have great minds and great backing. I'm still enjoying the ride without that shite Ashley dread that the club is dying and might go under.

That helps on what our loss limit will be over the new three year period, but it doesn't change anything about our cost base which includes Bruno, Joelinton, Tonali, Isak, Botman, etc. Also doesn't factor in the potential new rules and the European rules.

It’s not even wish lists or who might be available, either. Just every thread descending into PSR shite and why we can’t buy anyone and how the summer won’t be any better. 
 

Maybe it’s just this place after a loss and with only one game per week. But the football section has been dead and depressing as fuck this week.
