Andy Robertson? John McGinn? Young Justin Devenny from Airdrie to Palace just off top of my head. There are plenty over the years Stuart Armstrong, Wanyama, Duncan Ferguson, Peter Lovenkrands etc etc.

also have players who went to Scotland on loan who went on to be class players. Tim Krul, Kasper Schmeichel, Longstaff, James Maddison.

Could argue Forster to a degree too.

I watch a lot of Celtic and trust me, Kuhn is nowhere near Newcastle standard. He had a Miggy-esque purple patch at the start of the season and has basically chucked it since, he also has the heart of a mouse and goes missing if he's up against a fullback who won't let him run over the top of him.

He clearly has talent, hence why he was on the books of Leipzig, Ajax & Bayern at one point but he'll take a hell of a lot of developing for him to be any use to us and he's not exactly a "young" player anymore.

Also 2 important factors:

If we get CL we are highly unlikely to have the tough fixtures we did last time.

Also, our injury situation from last season is very unlikely to occur again.

Disagree a bit with the sentiment.

This new CL format is a killer. The 2 teams that have done the best in the comp from England have underperformed in the league (Arsenal would've hoped to be in a title race). Back to back CL campaigns is going to be super difficult for clubs going forward. That 5th spot will be well contested for some time.

PSV fans seem to have a really low opinion of Bakayoko this season. Apparently not even a guaranteed starter now. If he can't do it in the Dutch league that's worrying. On the other hand, everyone improves under Eddie so maybe he sees something in him that's yet to be unlocked. Maybe that'll get us a discount if we do go for him.

Really important point, this. Imagine what fans of other clubs would have said if they’d been linked with Joelinton before Eddie worked with him [emoji38]

I'm more than OK with all lower clubs pricing their talent obscenely to fuck off the traditional top 4 clubs. Even if/when we become one of the elites, I'll still think it's fine.

I’d rather let Isak run down his contract than sell him now.

First Liverpool are exchanging him in their offer for Isak, and now this. Give it a rest Cartel-edia.

Just a twitter observation, but the Liverpool fans seem to rate him as a prospect but don't see him as someone super talented / who could be a top 5 CB in the league.

Can't say I've seen much of him myself, other than at right back in the final

As a rule of thumb, fans on social media tend to be as thick as pig shit though.
