Has he had that bad a season? He is understandably behind VVD and Konate in the pecking order, however Gomez was also favoured over him before he got injured. Because he is so young, people naturally assume his potential is limitless, but it could just as easily mean he's hit his ceiling very early in his career. Personally, I think he'll have a career similar to that of Connor Wickham. Like Crouch, he hit his ceiling early.....

If all three go for nothing, that is arguably their three best players, which will need replacing and no incoming money to assist with their replacements. I know Liverpool are very much ok with PSR, but surely that's going to take a hit this summer, if all the three leave. I realise it's hypothetical, as Van Dijk and Salah may well sign new deals. What’s difficult to understand? They’ve been constantly in discussions about new contracts but none of the players want to sign what’s being offered to them as they can get bigger wages plus a massive signing on fee elsewhere. Club are helpless in that scenario. Can see it happening more and more. Chelsea ahead of the game on this with 7-9yr contracts but the risk you take with their approach is player motivation and injuries. It’s always a fine balancing act. La Parka Posted Thursday at 09:10 Share Posted Thursday at 09:10 (edited) He's a fucking wank right back. Actually is a unit though. Stats look very good. He'd replace fab id imagine ? He'd be a great buy imo. Don't think he'll go if vvd goes. Edited Thursday at 09:14 by La Parka

Chelsea's tactic of massively long contracts will seriously bite them if they don't get success in the next few years. Obviously this World Club b***s will help them. Until they figure out how to sell their own players to themselves or find some other way to bend the rules. Alternatively it could completely implode between Boehly and the other lot, and they'll be up the creek without a paddle
Kimbo Posted Thursday at 09:15 Share Posted Thursday at 09:15 Quanash has had a shit season and needs a lot of work, I wouldn’t be picking him ahead of Schar, Burn, or Botman any time soon. For the amount he would cost you could get an already developed player abroad.
andycap Posted Thursday at 09:20 Share Posted Thursday at 09:20 (edited) He's a big lad deceptively quick aswell would rather have him playing for us rather than huijsen we need pace at the back. Plus he can slot in at right back if tripps leaves. Edited Thursday at 09:20 by andycap

Dan burn is an enigma and offers loads more than you can quantity. Unless we go full stoke and play: Tino Quansah Botman Burn Hall and terrorise at set pieces 😂 Edited Thursday at 09:22 by La Parka

I think he would need a season to develop.

He was great in the cup final, but he’s having more bad performances than he was having over the past couple seasons. He’s hitting his mid-30s, so it’s hardly a surprise tbh. We’ve got one of the oldest starting 11s in the league and waiting until performances fall off a cliff isn’t an option. JP Posted Thursday at 10:19 Share Posted Thursday at 10:19 We can't be daft enough to buy a homegrown from Liverpool to significantly strengthen their PSR position (Isak).
black_n_white Posted Thursday at 11:08 Share Posted Thursday at 11:08 Still think a right sided center back will be higher priory than right winger, Guehi and Elanga were the targets last summer so let’s see what happens.
GEFAFWISP Posted Thursday at 11:08 Share Posted Thursday at 11:08 Fuck giving Liverpool anything. Quansah ain't it, no value in buying him from them. We have to have learnt our lessons by now given the last three windows of minimal transfer movement (outside panic selling). This shouldn't be a debate frankly. Newcastle Fan Posted Thursday at 11:23 Share Posted Thursday at 11:23 I've been saying we should get Jonathan David for at least two years now, he's a perfect fit for our system and can even play on the right if required.

Nothing about a swap mentioned. Hardy is mildly reliable but how the fuck would he know these details other than Mitchell ringing him up months before the window opens and telling him precisely what our plan was including how much we plan on paying? It's one thing to know who's on a list of targets - people outside the club like agents can leak that - but there's probably fewer than 5 people at the club who know the precise deal we want to put together and it's in none of their interest to leak such a detailed plan to the press this far in advance of the window. It's one of the stupidest links I've read so far this year. It claims Liverpool turned down £50m last summer, but we are now thinking we can get him for £30m even though he's got 4 years of his contract left. As if we would be doing our business through the media in any case even if it were true. Only plausible reason I can think of it being printed is that we are fed up with Liverpool media links with Isak and maybe this is a counter punch to try to unsettle Quansah. Sibierski Posted Thursday at 11:26 Share Posted Thursday at 11:26 People downplaying the English talent again by not wanting Quansah. Just like Trevor Chalobah, there's really good talents for good fees. I'd be happy if we exclusively spent the big money on English talent, because the ceiling is stupidly high.
