NUFC Transfer Rumours

He could be dangerous for us in some games when there’s lots of transitions . If we aim to go to the top we will have to get a different profile to him. To get to the next level we need to evolve and improve our in general play and be better in possession. Have more variety and be really good at many things. Elanga is a runner.

Aye, pretty much where I'm at.

Though, I think the GK and RCB are probably more significant in terms of control.

A GK with good feet would most certainly make a big difference I agree.

Not really. They are a CF away from being a very very good team and he’ll be paid what he demands and more with the security of an extra 4 years.

What is crazy about it?

The big drawback of signing for Chelsea is that they’re very likely to sign another (or possibly 2) players in your position over the next couple of years. For no other reason other than they can. They sign multiple players in a position. Far beyond rotational need. If a deal can be made, they make it regardless.

As much as I desperate for updates im just going to go with the wait and see approach.

Even if some of the links aren't fancied it's difficult to not back the club as they have been on the money since the takeover.

Either way, one more win and we should have some pennies to spend.

Delap would be best with us or Villa imo

Would easily get 2000 mins with us in a season.

Rather than Chelsea who treat players like crap, and try to play possession style football (not to his strengths imo). And Man U where the expectations will be there right from the off, at a club with insane expectations and scrutiny from the world

Think Villa would be Delap’s best landing spot for his career tbh.

He'd be way better under Howe or Emery than those 2 clubs, that's for sure

Isak, Mbuemo, Gordon, Barnes, Delap is a quality front 5 options for 3 places that could do a bit of everything

With Murphy and his peach of a right foot as 6th choice and Osula on loan, depending on what Howe thinks of him

I really like Elanga. Probably the fastest player in the league, great weak foot, bags of work rate/running, good age and seemingly a very nice lad.

The guy is everything Eddie loves in a winger/player and I have every confidence Howe could turn him into something quite special.

No to Elanga for me, we don't need 2 pace merchants in Gordon/Elanga, we need something different at RW

I agree, good player though Elanga is.

Mbeumo would offer us something different. He's left-footed and has a great touch on the ball. Maybe needs to shed a kilo or two but I daresay Eddie would sort that.

Athletic

Crystal Palace’s Guehi remains admired at centre-back, Burnley’s James Trafford has long been a goalkeeper target, while Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga and Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo are among the right wingers Newcastle have tracked, and Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap is a striker they have closely followed. Significant due diligence has taken place on targets across multiple positions.

As for Longstaff, that situation is different. The 27-year-old has not started a league match since December 12 and he is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract. Should Newcastle receive a decent offer for the midfielder, he is likely to go — the club exercised an extension in Longstaff’s present deal primarily to protect his value — should he choose to.

Willock and Barnes face uncertain futures. As far as I am aware, Newcastle have not been actively looking to move on either but, given sales will help facilitate the incomings required, should serious interest be shown in Willock or Barnes, there is a chance one or both could leave.

I want another Isak Or Tonali type from abroad this summer. They're the 2 transfers that have had me proper buzzing

He spends an hour a week answering the same four questions. Could you be arsed?

At least Hope’s weekly nonsense is a bit more exciting and can have a bit of new information (which is usually bollocks).

Has Eddies work ethic too, will cover the RB well if caught out.

I like Elanga, he has everything we need, he'd seem far more exciting to a lot of fans if he had been tearing it up in the Dutch league or similar

No he hasn’t.

He sets up a lot of goals. That’s his job. He’s not setting up as many as Murphy this season but Murphy is relatively old and succession planning is important.

We going to keep a level head in here over the summer lads and lasses if there’s lots of talk about our best players being linked elsewhere?

If I was to have a bet.

Huijsen will end up at Chelsea, given who is agents are.

Delap will end up at Man United.

Tosin should have chosen more wisely last Summer. Will get even less game time now

I think we’ll get one transformational European signing and three of four domestic players to accompany this.

Exciting times.

Don’t think I’ve seen too many on here losing their heads? And similar talk has been going on fyears soon  There might have been a couple that I don’t even remember, who cares, just ignore.

There will be tons of talk and made up shite too being thrown around. I’m sure people will be talking about these things on here.

I personally won’t care at all really. IF we decide to sell a player it’s because we’ve chosen to sell, or that’s for a ridiculously inflated fee.

Similar has been said about a few signings since Howe came in, I am fairly sure Elanga could be dynamite for us as he would compliment what we have and his attributes align with our style, but it's all conjecture at this stage
