Think the “no dickhead rule” applies to their work ethic, professionalism and ability to get along with team mates. Eddie’s always harping on about the characters within our squad so it’s certainly something we’re looking into.

This.

Instead it now gets brought up regarding any player that has ever had any kind of strop or fiery moment on the pitch!

Yeh it's common sense.

Eddie doesn't care if you cheat on your wife or act a bit of a bellend so long as you are an excellent professional. Sancho doesn't work hard enough, turns up late and doesn't sleep enough due to gaming and I do think Howe will be weary of Grealish's like for a drink or 8 due to professional reasons. Someone like Bellingham, seems an excellent professional. His mum probably still makes him go to sleep by 11pm.

It’s pointless even discussing players like Sancho and Grealish. Ridiculous they’re even linked.

Ashamed our transfer rumours thread has reached Sancho and Grealish level

Massively in favour of the no dickheads policy; I love having a likeable squad, though I understand that if you've got an absolute baller playing brilliantly, you tend to love them anyway, even if they're a twat.

I don't think Grealish seems like a dickhead at all, incidentally. Seen lots of clips of him with disabled kids being an absolute diamond. And he handled that fan coming onto the pitch to hit him thing really well. Is it just the Almiron thing?

Mind, Sancho can fuck off. He's a complete dickhead.

I have no idea whether or not Sancho is a dickhead, but I do know he is not good enough. And that is the main reason why I don't want him at ours.

Grealish has at least shown in the past he can do it in the Premier League. Its about getting him back to those levels...and also slashing his massive wages.

The Almiron thing, I saw as pure footy banter which we've all engaged in from time to time, I'm sure. And he did apologise for it afterwards.

Im surprised it upset so many on here to such an extent.

I think the dickhead stuff with Grealish is more to do with him not taking his football seriously and being out on the piss regularly. We don't want players who aren't giving everything to try and make the best of their careers and help our team be the best it can be

In regards to Grealish, obvious talent there and underneath there’s a thoroughly decent lad who’s always got time for fans etc etc.

However there are massive red flags about his professionalism in regards to fitness. Rumours persist about his drinking (borderline alki and one to worry about when he retires) and his diet.

There’s no question that Peps style has stifled his game but like most have said on here - is he worth the wage outlay when there’s too many questions about him? Probably not.

That being said, if anyone can rehabilitate the lad it’s Eddie. . . .

With Sancho I do think there’s a player there. He’s a confidence player but the two clubs he’s played at are absolutely toxic, Man U say no more but when Chelsea with their million players can’t be the best when you’re trying to find your way back to full form and fitness. That spell he had on loan at Dortmund where he played CL final he was starting to show flashes of the old Sancho towards the end.
I do think if anyone could fix him so to speak it would be Howe.

I wouldn't be surprised with the odd loan deal just to bulk out the squad, given the number of games we'll have coming up.

On football alone Grealish might fit into that, and may also be able unlock a low block better than many. Moot point anyway as I doubt it would be a thing.

Especially considering the shit Almiron got on here was a million times worse.

Today feels like a good day to announce some good news @NUFC.

Windows shut again isnt it.

They only opened it for a bit so Chelsea could sign some players to help them progress in the Club World Cup to help them further with PSR as they are running out of ideas.
