NUFC Transfer Rumours

Agree with whoever said we need to take calculated risks on potential world class players that other elite clubs are lot confident or ready to pull the trigger on. OR/AND pay a premium for those players. I think that’s what we’ve done with Tino, Hall, Isak and Tonali.

That’s where I trust the counting teams judgment a lot.

This is where the hesitation and frustration around Elanga and to a lesser extent JP and Guehi comes from.

For the fees mentioned we would want higher ceiling players.

On the other hand, how many risky signings can we afford? What if a couple of them don't hit?

"Could advance"

"one to watch"

"still keen"

"interest remains"

Yeah this is boring now. Journos just rehashing nonsense

I'll mentally check out until the season starts

Same here, literally find it boring now. Golf course until end of July sounds more like it

Honestly think the first proper signing we make will generate such a feel good factor for the club

Cant wait for the NUFC photo spam, the shit interviews we do, the Eddie Howe handshake at the training ground etc etc

Yup and as of their last game of season at the end of May he was still injured

Isak only scored 6 in 32 games for Sociedad the season before we bought him.

I know it’s slightly different circumstances but it’s still a risky deal, we dropped £63m on him and that looks a bargain now.

If we can get this guy for around 40m and are confident he can play a lot fo games, then it could be another great deal.

Oi I’m a slaphead 😂 but I probably agree. What’s he said now?

Business as usual. Nothing whilst covering all bases so he can pivot either way depending on how the situation unfolds, so he can make it seem like he knew all along.

Taken my daughter out of school today to follow updates about it. The headteacher was livid about it but we just blew her a raspberry and mooned her. Some things in life are more important

It’s not the update either you or I wanted but sadly things have not worked out as well as I’d hoped.

Received a phone call from the school and my daughter’s been expelled. I’ve also been informed that a letter is going out to my employer requesting that I’m relieved of my position immediately. The headteacher also spat out the following “I hope you don’t sign anyone this window and that Big Dan Burn gets shin splints”.

Not going to mince my words, this has hit me pretty hard. Was going to take my daughter out for an ice cream to apologise but she’s just kicked a football through the window and jumped out onto the street so I’m off out to find her

Think we’re the biggest club to have the most unreliable, uninformed press pack regarding transfers.

Every other similar sized club or bigger, seem to have at least one reliable correspondent.

Yeah I’d agree with that I think.

Frustrating for fans but a good thing really.

Don't worry, mate, the ice cream van will be back blasting its music at about 10pm, like it does round ours. Hope you find the bairn.

Thanks man

Edwards is such a slaphead

Would have a hard job resisting the temptation to douse him in warm liquid if I ever saw him public, the bald cunt.

That's the game.

We've had good success on fairly priced PL players like Barnes, Burn, Pope - those deals are hard to land at decent prices. Not players big clubs would've been after in any situation maybe Barnes the exception actually.

Botman, Tonali, Bruno, Isak, Hall, Tino, Gordon - all signings other big clubs would've looked at and decided too much money for the risk. We have to continue down this route imo.
