“They hold an interest and are weighing up what steps to take next. He’s a player they know about and have watched. Whether they can do a deal or not is still unclear as there’s a lot of work to do. It’ll be complex but they hold a real interest”

Looking at that injury history I'd never sign him, unless it was for around 10mil and we weren't going to rely on him. Isn't he strictly left sided as well?

Im quite fed up with players who cant stay fit, so no not very keen. Depends on the fee really.

Absolutely. I think it’s a perfect situation with Schar still being first choice and using the last bit of his legs to bed Scalvini in over the course of the season and slowly get him back up to full fitness without over exertion.

Is he any good physically? Is he fast? Only seen clips. Looks technically very good but needs the other two elements.

Based on what's being reported in local media it sounds like he's definitely signing with us FWIW. He's very young and barely gets playing time in the Korean second tier, so probably one for the far future (or never). 

 

Also, fuck off with all of your racist Korean jokes :lol: they have not improved in quality one bit in the twenty years I've been on this forum.

These days, European teams have genuinely reached FM-levels of foreign prospect scouting (i.e. they have folks looking at 15 year olds in obscure foreign leagues in Asia or Africa). It seems like we have people over to scout the Korean leagues periodically and he just happened to catch our eye. He has been capped at U-17 and U-20 level but so far has not stood out in either (to be fair, he just turned 18).

I'm long past the point where I actually care about Koreans playing for NUFC. Ki was one of my favorite players ever and that was... not a good experience so I've kind of soured on it all.

I’m probably in a minority but I thought Ki was a really tidy player for us and was sad to see him go.

Frankly enjoyed Kuqi for NUFC more than I enjoyed Ki for NUFC. Ashely hadn’t broken my soul yet.
