Disasi is a very capable CB IMO, just unlucky that he looks a bit of a lump and his name sounds like disaster.

Would rather we did zero business with Chelsea

It doesn’t matter tbh. It would be a good signing, and it may force Liverpool to match our bid. Make it a big one as well.  Make the pricks pay for the guy and not get him free next summer, or get a good CB that we’ve wanted, and who has acted honorably.

That’s how to fuck with Liverpool.

Why would Liverpool match our bid for Thaiw

And my reply was talking about Thaiw not Guehi. You’ve had a shocker here

What the hell is your problem. You don’t need to act dickish. You’ve been that way all day, man. I read your reply to Prophet who explicitly mentioned Guehi. What did you expect me to think?

Who’s acting dickish? Don’t take it so seriously ffs. I was having a laugh but Have you even bothered to read it back? It’s clear as day. 3 times we’ve went over that one fuckin post and you still going on like you are right.

It wasn’t so clear to me, which may be on me. And yes you’ve been combative and condescending  to a number of posters today, man.  Seriously.

I’ve not at all. In actual fact I’ve had a number of posters say shit like “how many times till you understand, or “dunno how your not understanding it” when in actual fact I’ve understood it perfectly well. i even tried to say agree to disagree so it wouldn’t be combative and got a laughing emoji back like im an idiot. so obviously I’m gonna be defensive.

I don’t know. It’s seemed that way to me. But anyway, I got nothing against you, dude. I just thought you were a bit condescending even as you pointed out, I clearly misunderstood your context. It was unnecessary imo.  You could have said the same thing without the snarky mare comment at the end.

Well, I apologise if it came across that way and on reflection you are probably right

The easiest way to make sense of our summer is that we've been expecting movement on Isak so decided to front-load on strengthening our attack. It's difficult to see how big bids for Elanga, Pedro and Ekitike cohered with our needs in the centre of defence and midfield unless we have been expecting a big sale somewhere.

I still expect Isak to leave but I don't think it's guaranteed, and ideally I'd offer him a big salary boost plus a release clause for next year and see where that takes us. Most of the top striking prospects have been taken so if you sell Isak you either have to really gamble or try to secure experienced players for a premium in a bid to remain competitive for the Champions League places.

I don't buy into the notion that the 'cartel clubs' are collectively out to get us, but I think Liverpool will be happy to wait on the basis that they'll get Isak this year or the next while unsettling him and stymying us in the transfer market. We're in a difficult spot and I wonder whether the club has an action plan right now or is waiting to see how things pan out.
