That’s my sense too. Either Sesko plus Isak, or Sesko and 150 million which allows us to sign Wissa and hunt for some CM and CB cover. I am hoping that Sesko + Isak won’t stop our search for these other players, but we’d have to be a bit more clever, loans and such, until Isak is inevitably sold next year to balance the books.

If Isak being sold meant Sesko & Wissa, plus a quality RCB (Guehi? Scalvini?) and a midfielder to push for a spot in our best XI rather than just a Longstaff replacement (Paqueta?) then I think I'm on board.

Assuming no conflict of interest and she's in decent health, why not appoint Amanda as an ambassador; let her go to the clubs,(with their permission) and sell NUFC? She always seemed to prevail in Transfer activities and I bet she'd still do a great job with our target's clubs.

Guehi isn’t a RCB, but agree in spirit some cover / potential there would be good.

 

I have no faith in us to sign 4 quality players between now and the start of Sep though. I really wish I did.

Been mentioned a few times alongside CEO role but apparently she's not keen.

Adam Cleary mentioned on his old Guehi video that his curved balls out to the right wing from RCB are a massive part of his game.

I think the strikers speak for themselves. It’s Wissa, who Hope is genuinely positive about getting over the line, plus Isak or Šeško.

 

We then basically need one midfielder and one centre half in three and a half weeks. Think we can do it.

 

Actually think Van Hecke could be the CB if we cash in on Isak and would love Nickson to go balls deep and get Ederson from Atalanta. A chunky fee plus our indicative summer budget covers it all.

Miggy - £10m

Kelly - £20m

Total -£195m

 

Elanga - £55m

Sesko - £70m

Van Hecke - £40m

Ramsdale - £4m

Wissa - £30m

Ederson - £50m

Personally would like 2 of Paqueta, Ederson, Rudoni and Douglas Luiz. Gives us a bit of everything and cover, too.

I really like Watkins and hed be class here but it makes such little sense financially.

 

It would be so disappointing to end up with an ageing Wissa and ageing Watkins. Even if I think they would perform well.

Lots of people keep suggesting Paqueta - Isn't he still facing basically a lifetime ban? Or has that gone away now?

 

If he's still got charges against him, we need to stay the hell away. Be just our luck to give West Ham £ms for a player who then promptly gets barred from kicking a ball until the heat death of the universe.

He was cleared just recently.
