Famous last words but it feels like we're on the dying embers of the whole Isak hullabaloo that's kept the twitter journos busy all summer, Ramos seems like one last desperate attempt to whip up an engagement frenzy.

 

I really can't see Isak going to Liverpool now. I wish he'd fuck off to PSG, even for 100m but PSG are a different animal now to the one which spunked fortunes on any old cunt, I doubt they'd want the slithery prick now.

There hasn’t been a huge drop in quality down our ‘choices’ though. You also don’t know if we’ve just been bidding when given encouragement or an opportunity has arose.

 

There’s nothing to say he’d have been 6th choice if we’d been given an option to pick who we want. I doubt Pedro was higher up our list than Ekitike for example despite going for him first.

I don't think Ramos is the answer either, a season long loan would do, in exchange for Isak going to the other way - ideal for me, keeps our powder dry, decent replacement, flogged the c*nt overseas.

Would sort us out in the short term without burning the Isak monies on someone who might not work and overpaying. I also think we would be stronger overall with those 2 up from that Isak plus Wilson. Rest of the squad has improved so whilst it's not been a radical shift in a transformational sense. It's a step forward and would enable us to challenge for cups and CL again whilst giving a good stab at the CL.

 

Then next summer we should be in a strong position to add maybe 2 big signings and a couple of youngsters to start grooming to replace Burn, Bruno etc

Logic. Why would psg give us a £60m player on loan? Then have to spend £130m+ on his replacement.  They are a serious football club that has its own financial rule constraints
 

Also it’s hypothetical why would there be evidence? It’s all wild speculation every single bit of it  We don’t even know if PSG would be willing to pay £130-£150m for Isak
