NUFC Transfer Rumours

If the two transactions can be proven to be two willing parties engaging in arms length commercially led transactions, any restriction of that by the PL is an unlawful intervention of UK competition law.

Well it's just as well we've shown so much willingness to engage in legal challenges against the Premier League...

One thing I would really like is access to a database of players contract lengths and salaries. There is so much misinformation in the media. For the foreseeable future it’s going to be tough to get established players on good contracts, and I’d rather focus my wish list on players we can afford within our wage structure. I also think we need to pay our squad players a little less to give more wriggle room for key player salaries.

The transparency would be great, I'm one of the sad bastards that would be looking at it daily. I do think it would cause issues though, certain established players earning 3/4 times a young lad who is smashing it week in week out for a smaller club is just begging agents to kick up a fuss

As is Savinho.

If we end up with him, we are going to be looking for another Right Winger the following summer YET AGAIN.

Can't imagine anything about these swap rumours to be true. Very much like last season with the likes of Quansah and Elliot involved with the rats deal.

Wouldnt have minded Quansah joining last season, would have probably meant Thiaw not signing though. Maybe one for this summer to look at?

It's a complete non-starter because of UEFA's rules on what they consider swap deals. Any transfer within a window between two clubs can be considered a swap and the values adjusted accordingly. Villa reportedly had an interest in Osula in summer transfer window but had to back off the deal because they realised purchasing him would result in the profit from the Ramsey deal being erased in the UEFA calculation.

I suspect we'd like to do a deal for Trafford but it won't happen because of the Tino situation i.e. we won't be able to buy him from City because that's where Tino wants to go, and we need to sell Tino this summer because he has only two years left on his contract and therefore holds all the cards.

Could compulsory loans circumvent this

I'm still not fully convinced by Thiaw. Still think he's better than Quansah though.

Don’t need that at all. Just ask @Froggy. He knows all the players wages, net and gross, all the clauses, agents fees, etc. Full and complete spreadsheet from his glory hunters forum.

Liverpool and Newcastle United are interested in Portuguese club Sporting's 28-year-old Colombia striker Luis Suarez. (Correio da Manha - in Portuguese)

A 28 year old with one good season in a mickey mouse league whose clubs are notorious for scamming PL clubs into paying big fees for mediocre players.

Not for me Jeff.

Froggy just uses media reports to make educated guesses. It's not rocket science son. Your insistence that these reports are wrong makes you more of a know it all than me.

Settle down petal.

Tonali out allowing us to bring Anderson & Trafford in would be very palatable.

If we replace Sandro with Elliot fucking Anderson I’ll have to have a long, reflective stare into the abyss.

I'm not saying that I think Anderson is like for like, I just think we could do with his more attacking instinct rather than Sandro's combative all action run yourself into the ground for 95 minutes type, based off what we have elsewhere in the squad.

Fair enough, man. I'll see you in the abyss.

Was on about this last night with a mate.

Everyone naming players to come in to replace Sandro if he leaves. If it was up to me I wouldn't look to sign an out and out starter. I'd be determined to give Miley a chance there in that role and see if he flourishes which I'm confident he will.

Im afraid if we pay top money for a replacement Miley will get buried again when I think next season he needs to play 80% of the games in a specific role and let him develop. None of this squeezing him in at RB or various roles in midfield here and there. I don't think that will do him any good at all.

Look at what Forest done with Anderson and it's paid off. Put faith in the lad.

There’s a lot to like here, imo. Doesn’t really show much though the eye of a needle type passing, but I’m Sure I’ve seen it from him in another vid.

Would look great alongside Bidon (not a player I expect us to go for, even if available).

It's posts like this that make all the other nonsense you spout worthwhile putting up with.

Please don't ever change.
