NUFC Reddit bas banned Romano posts from the sub

Wish they'd ban total bullshit aswell, ventured in there for the first time in a while the other day and saw the claim that Rory Finneran was starting for Blackburn when he was 16, reminded me why I give that (and football Reddit/socials in general) a wide berth. A lesson learned!

That's a great fee if true. I'd be somewhat surprised as I was seeing much bigger numbers about a month ago.

Monaco have missed out on Europe entirely and apparently need to get some money into the club, and so maybe that's had an effect.

Would be really happy with that deal if true.

There's been enough noise around it to make me think we are definitely in for him. With Liverpool also mentioned as being interested there's no way I am going to get excited about it yet though.

We're in a strange position at the moment, big club with ambitions and we can probably offer young players like Camara more opportunity than the likes of Liverpool. Massive opportunity this summer like.

As good as he can be WHEN fit. I don’t think I’d be too bothered losing livramento.  We can find other decent right backs.  It is hall I would be pissed off about if he left.

Was just thinking exactly the same. Not fit often enough, great defensively but I think he's the most replaceable of our purples. If we can find someone with better attacking instincts as well, I don't think we'll miss him

Yeah I agree.   Absolutely nothing against him. I rate him when he’s playing regular and keeps injury free. But he struggled to do that.  If we can get someone of a similar play as hall to replace him. We’d have a much stronger back 4.  If he goes and sorts his fitness out and does well. Then I’d be happy for the lad. But it’s a big challenge for him to sort it

If Tino does go, I won’t be too emotional about it. I’d like to see him stay and develop his game here, he has major areas to work on going forward. Defensively he’s pretty much the finished article and it’ll be hard to replace that side of his game but I think we can likely find a player that offsets that side by being much stronger crossing the ball and passing the ball going forwards

Livramento’s had a poor season this season in terms of injuries, but that’s off the back of the two previous seasons, across which he played about 80 games.

People are far, far too quick to write players off as being ‘injury-prone’. Look at Calvert-Lewin, derided on here when we were linked, as being likely to spend more time in the treatment room than on the pitch. Played virtually every game for Leeds this season.

Anyway, regardless of that, I still think we probably need to sell Tino if he’s not signing a new contract. And if it has to be to Arsenal, then so be it.

Add me to the list of "First player I'd sell given the reality of SCR, and in a heartbeat at that". Was one of our best players during our best season, but lacks availability to a shocking extent. Also, pocketing Salah in the cup final feels significantly less like an achievement given Mo's decline since. I don't like playing the "didn't fancy her anyway" game, but this is the least bittersweet bit of transfer business imaginable.

So, we're losing Tripps, Tino, Krafth and possibly Schär? Eddie talked about not getting too many new in but only in defence it seems like we could need 3 or 4 new players just to fill the holes...
