Considering we were linked with Huijsen in the summer and then pursued a far more expensive Guehi, just shows how Mitchell needs to enforce a new approach.

The kid was tremendous against Solanke last night, will go for over 50 million in next 2 seasons.

I bet he’s on less wages then Lloyd Kelly as well, real false economy and highlights our narrow view of the transfer market.

This was so obvious at the time too. A perfect Schar understudy. Infuriating if we haven’t at least thrown our hat into the ring for him.

Starting to think that selling Isak in the summer is best for the long term for the club. Think he’ll be pushing for a move and think we could get a fee around £110-120million.

Been thinking what could the squad look like with the money plus a bit more re-invested in the squad rebuild. This is what I think the squad could like….

                           ?

Livra    Guehi/Tomori  Botman  Hall

                Bruno       Tonali

                         Willock

 Mbeumo                                  Gordon

                          David

would also like us to move to a 4231.

Subs

KWP

Schar

Burn

Joelinton

Barnes

Delap

Gomes

Sell

Isak

Longstaff

Miggy

Trippier

Wilson

Buy

Delap 40

J.David 0 out of contract

Mbeumo 50

Tomori/Guehi 25/50

Keeper?

A.Gomes 0 out of contract

KWP 0 out of contract

Not sure who to go for to replace Pope tho. Other players that I did consider was bakayoko/ dewsbury hall. As well as Duran but think he’d cost too much. Anyway that’s my thoughts, appreciate it’s not that easy as it’s not championship manager but thought I’d share with you guys and gals

Wishful thinking that we'll get players as good as David and Gomes for free ahead of everyone else.

I also don't believe Brentford will sell Mbeumo for 50, unless his contract is nearly up.

I have no idea where we currently stand regarding PSR, but someone please tell me we will have a few quid to spend in the summer?

Not too fussed about January. I’m of the opinion that we will just have to accept our medicine as far as the remainder of this season goes. Agree to write this season off (as long as we don’t get relegated) and prepare for a proper rebuild in the summer.

Incredibly frustrating Forest have managed to sign a really good CB pairing in Murillo and Milenkovic for less than half of a Marc Guehi. They have bought well.

Frustrating or a positive that it’s a clear example of it being possible?

Going back to my post last night. I’d not be wanting to sell Isak but if he wants to go (which he will, especially with no Europe) then I don’t think we should keep him if that could then affect his performances and therefore lower his value. Would love to know how much we actually have available to spend before we need to sell. If it’s tight then I think it will be an avenue the club would look at but for the fee that we want.

Yeah maybe wishful thinking, with the frees. But Mbeumo I think is doable if he doesn’t renew his contract at it expires in 18 months

There's deals out there to be done with more bravery.

This is how to navigate and beat PSR.

Ola Aina has been brilliant for them too, and is a Chelsea Cobham graduate. They signed him on a free.

Hudson Odoi out of Cobham too, they signed for £3 million from Leverkusen.

Steady lad, let’s just spunk £30m a pop on some “oven ready” young English talent from other PL clubs. Next stop Anthony Elanga and Mark Guehi for £100m.

I can see us cashing in on Almiron and Tripps easy enough in January, probably why Eddie's been playing Murphy and Tino more. But, it also wouldn't surprise me if we bit the bullet and sold one of our bigger stars, like Isak or Bruno as well, just to fund beefing out the squad some more with the PSR hamstringing in place. It wouldn't be ideal, but after a fairly indifferent first half of the season I have to wonder if it would impact us as much as our hearts over minds would have us feeling.

There's no cashing in on Tripps. Nobody will pay for 34 year old player with 6 months left on his contract. There's no incentive for us to let him leave in January on a free either so I'm 99% sure he'll stay here to the summer.

Our incentive would be his significant wages off the books, but that’s probably only really relevant if we think he’s no longer likely to contribute to any real degree on or off the pitch.

Not sure there's much chance of getting money for Almiron either, that ship has probably sailed.

Contract ends June 2026 so it's 18 months but agreed an aging player will a recently poor injury record doesn't have alot of value unless he's specifically needed somewhere by another club.
