For the money Kudus would cost I'd say theres better value out there. 4 goals and 2 assists in 28 games isnt great. He dribbles a lot but we would need better output.. Sounds like im describing ASM

I don’t know what he would cost but I wouldn’t write him off based on his G/A stats. He has a high ceiling in the right environment. Same goes for Kulusevski.

I think it'll be double. We had £60m to spend on Guehi/Olise last summer and we're seemingly happy to trigger Huijsen's £50m clause whilst still needing to fill arguably the 2nd most expensive position in the squad at RW.

Like I say, could be wrong (got it completely wrong last summer) bit I'm quietly optimistic.

I don't think we had 60m to spend on Guehi/Olise. We were just willing to spend it, while accepting the PSR damage. I don't think we'll do that anymore as a club.

I would be surprised if we spend more than 100+M. But if we sell someone, then maybe.

Think we could spend big, if it’s on a player or two we accept could be off the following summer or one after if they do well, and we’d be happy to sell for a profit.

We now reaching the stage because of the limited youth players/kids, the signings we make have to be with a view that they could be off in 12/24 months.

I agree. I genuinely don't think it's who we need. Plus with AFCON he'll be away January/February.

Just seen a random West Ham account saying they have to sell to be compliant with ffp. I'd love us to put in a bid for Kudus.

Some club in Saudi apparently after him for silly money

It might sound ridiculous but us winning a trophy might have been enough for Parishs ego to now believe we are now a big enough club to sell to.

I still believe he'd be an a1 signing and Howe would have him as England's best and first choice CB with a few weeks.

Only way we’re getting Guehi is if someone takes Parrish on a special helicopter ride.

There's a year left on his contract, Parish might be a pompous quiff, but he's not daft. I think he'll sell this summer, and I think there's a great chance we will be the buyers.

Will they be right?

The i Paper can confirm Newcastle are in for Ipswich striker Liam Delap and Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen, who have release clauses of £30m and £50m respectively.

Howe has previously placed a premium on Premier League experience, although sources have also suggested the idea that he only wants domestic-based targets is overblown. He championed the signing of Sandro Tonali from Milan, for example – and he has proved a huge success.

Newcastle are almost certain to dip into the overseas market again this summer, believing it offers better value. Lowering the squad’s age profile is also a target, Newcastle having renewed the contracts of most of the players coming to the end of their deals.

Burnley already have Traffords replacement with Etienne Green.

Are they going to rely on a keeper who's barely played any football?

Huijsen would very likely strengthen our squad but I really don't like throwing 50m at players that were available for a quarter of that just one year ago. Bournemouth will be laughing all the way to the bank and it makes a bit of a mockery of our supposedly super clever transfer dealings.

You don't have to worry. He won't be coming here.
