By all accounts we made our pitch to Delap (along with a few others) and he chose Chelsea. I haven’t seen any reliable links to Cherki. So I don't think we've missed out on anyone (so far) by moving too slowly.

Still early doors but was billed as a big summer by those NUFC insiders, pressure will only build on club the longer summer goes without any business.

 

The squad is just ill equipped to deal with CL football currently, feels like a lot of work to do and everything around the club seems very slow paced at the moment.

I’m not convinced our scouting network has been transformed since Mitchell said it wasn’t fit for purpose,  I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if a PL based player like Rashford who can play across the front 3 is somewhere on the list.

Small tidbits of “news” I heard yesterday. Nothing groundbreaking, but nice to hear it from someone who should know more.

 

Elanga is absolutely near the top of our list for RW (we’ve tried for him in the last two windows apparently), but we have been talking to West Ham about Kudus and Monaco about one of their wingers too (but can’t remember the name).
 

Gianluca Prestianni’s name was mentioned (which I think I shared last summer), but he’s very young and seen as a gamble. Been watched a lot though, and potential of that one going further as “one for the future”.

 

Guehi is absolutely still on the list but we’re facing more competition this time.
