NUFC Transfer Rumours

It's very intriguing.

He's only just turned 25 this year which surprised me. Definitely room for Howe to get more out of him and back to his previous levels at Fiorentina.

I've seen bits of Vlahovic, he seems to have good feet for a big man.

Im actually chill on this.

The more we dont get a striker, the more Isak has to stay, which is the outcome i want. I'm not sure how it will pan out but I just dont want him getting his way.

I know that leaves us in a pickle up front but what we cant do is panic buy. If we are going to panic buy, we might as well pay the extra whack for Wissa.

Ben Jacob’s said something on YouTube I believe that negotiations are complex and sensitive , whatever that means

Thanks for the update mate. Although, I’m now more confused than I was before haha!

IIRC he is co-owned by 2 clubs 50-50. Porto and I believe Athletic Madrid. Numerous agents also possibly. So basically not ideal if you are trying to get a deal done in the final throws of the window especially when it’s widely known you are desperate

Pretty much how I see it. I think we’ll get Wissa in the end, maybe pay a little more than hoped and Isak has to come out of hiding for a season. I think that would represent a pretty solid window.

If Eddie wants to go with a real curveball he could buy Semenyo and play him up top, he played as a striker in his Bristol City days and shares similar attributes to Wissa.

He just signed a new deal.

I dont think we will panic buy but in the last week of the window we will be prepared to hit the big red button that has Plan B (or plan G or wherever we are at) and start looking for a more fruity option like a Vlahovic on loan or an Ivan Toney or even a last minute big money move for Watkins.

What's important is doing our prep work so we know what's available, so we can move quickly late on.

Porto bought up all rights to Samu and so own him fully now.

I think Wissa will come in in the end like has been said, maybe we can make that work and try and do our homework on a big deal for a top man in January, I know that's a tough window to deal in, but I think it will be tough either way especially if get the Isak money.

Edit: tough because clubs will know we have a fortune and will rinse us.

I’ll take your word for it. Last I heard he was still part owned etc.

What do you think the issue would be then that would make it a tricky deal except price?

They wanted about £70m for Semenyo

Just hope we don't throw points away because of not having a striker in by now.

It could knack our season up playing catch-up.

We already have

Whose said it would be tricky? I think I missed that bit.

I'd imagine that would be down to how late it is in the window and them trying to negotiate a fee, with Porto then having to figure out a replacement too.
