NUFC Transfer Rumours

Genuinely think MSL would be a big success here. We’ve missed a bit of presence up front and I think with our wide players he’d do well.Ā
Ā

If Brentford want £50m* for Wissa I would prefer we went for this guy

Think we’re getting in 1 max regardless of Isak staying or leaving. Hope I’m wrong, like.

Be madness going into a season of 4 competitions only signing one striker and selling Isak. Quite simply has to be signed two forwards, sell Isak, Sign one forward and force the prick to stay.

We’ve been searching ā€˜high and low’ for a new striker so I would ā€˜take on him’.

I’d love Strand-Larsen. Much rather we overpay for him (relative to what Wolves just signed him for) than Jackson.

Tell me more? Looked nothing special when I watched him against Man City which is the level we need to be aiming for to improve.

Stand-Larsen is class. I think we would love him.

Its clear to me that we are no longer trying to sign 2 strikers. Isak will be staying.

Wouldn’t say ā€classā€. Decent maybe. Think I’d rather sign Jackson, their goal records are similar.

This is exactly why all the fucking about in June and July was so frustrating at the time, the consequences of not getting a striker earlier in the window (even if we did have to play more than we would have liked) are being felt now. The prices were always going to go through the roof the longer we held off. We're now between a rock and a hard place and there's a genuine risk of not having a single adequate striker at the club after the window has closed. I can understand not being held over a barrel and paying too much - I completely get it. Once you overpay for one player then you're going to see every other club do the same - it's sound logic. Problem is, what are the consequences of not paying it and being forced to play about 30 games without one? Pick your poison

Ā

Getting Thiaw and Ramsey went some way towards saving the window but not sorting the striker problem would send it back into failure. It was the priority positionĀ :hmm:
