NUFC Transfer Rumours

It would be pretty frustrating and look very weak if we have maintained all summer he’s going nowhere, to then fold and sell in the last few days.

This is actually the least bad bit about it and it's still absolutely clownish.

Without derailing another thread about him, but I think at this point we stand firm and he either comes back or he stays on sideline and we sell in January, even if it’s for £110m. Think if clubs (PSG / Real Madrid) are giving a few more months to plan things, they’ll want to make a move.

130m is selling him on the cheap. You can't debate that surely?

Just let him rot until next summer and sell elsewhere. Why do you want to embolden him and Liverpool and give other agents and clubs a blueprint on how to get a discount on any nufc player.

A strong stance is absolutely paramount here. I couldn't give one single fuck about what this rat does or says.

And what happens if next summer no one else comes in for him or he then continues to insist he'll only join Liverpool, and we now have to sell him to Liverpool for much less, as he's sat out the whole season? Then what?

And no, selling him for £130 million is not selling him on the cheap. Selling him on the cheap would be having to accept less than £100 million for him after he's been out all season and he's now down to the final two years of his contract.

We absolutely can't sell him now the only options available are mid level overpriced options. We are going to have to bite the bullet and buy one but to buy two would be really daft.

So? I tell Liverpool I don't respect the way they've conducted themselves and will reconsider if they meet our terms next summer.

If he doesn't want to play for 12 months I'm pretty sure his only Liverpool stance (again this stance is fiction and it's only be spouted because nobody else can afford him on this window) continues then he is the one actually pissing his career away.

As I said, I couldn't give a fuck what he wants.

If £130 million for him was cheap then other clubs would be putting bids in.

His behaviour has devalued him as a player, which was the intention, and there is a good chance we won’t get £130 million for him in January or next summer.

Two good scenarios from this:

Sell Isak and get

one of Paqueta / BEK

Gallagher

Two of JSL / Wissa / Sorloth

The squad loses a superstar but gains huge strength in depth

or

sell Isak to Barcelona or PSG

for an initial loan, swap deal for a couple of plus 100m next summer

I do agree with this, it also sends a msg to other players out there in our squad and other teams (not that I’m that fussed about other teams but wider point) that kick up a fuss and you’ll get your move.

We were giving Liverpool hell with Gordon up top.

What kind of side are we if the money we get for him goes towards two new strikers the manager believes in and say another midfielder like we all want.

Do you really think we're going to be worrying about Isak or Liverpool if we're a significantly better team and can go toe to toe with anyone?

I think it would be Larsson at 60m or Wissa at 45m, not both.

Jackson looks dead to me. Chelsea is very willing to sell but it seems like we really got close to zero interest, or else I don’t understand why we didn’t go for him, or at least an offer around 40m to test Chelsea.

What do you think telling Liverpool that is going to achieve. You really think they're going to agree to do that?

You're hoping his only Liverpool stance is fiction, because if next summer comes and he pulls that card we're even more fucked.

And you might not care what he wants, but it's not about you is it. I think it's probably more important what the manager and players want, and what is best for the club's progress.

If they don't then no deal. You seem to forget we hold the cards and will do for 3 years. Im perfectly content for him to go on a free and train in Whitley bay. Sometimes you have to pop out and show people.

You think Isak is willing to wait 3 years to secure his move?

Kaka, this isn't a matter of money psr or whatever else. It's purely a matter of principle and sending a message at this stage. We can fold as you suggest but if we do we deserve everything which comes our way in the future as we've displayed we simply do not have the backbone to stand up for ourselves.

Exactly.

Isak has fucked us over and now it's just a case of to what extent it ends up being.

We'd be lucky to get £100 million for him if we move him after this window has passed.

Well there are only a handful of clubs who can pay £100m+ for a player and a lot of them have an elite striker and/or have already spent loads this summer. I don’t think that means Isak isn’t worth 150.

Notwithstanding I'm picking and choosing what rumour/ITK/pundit crack that suits BUT....

He's not going to play for us again......his stance

Players AND Eddie want shot of him......Shad crack

We don't want to sell to L'pool.......emotion

Tell the cunt he ain't going anywhere and, if he doesn't make himself available at 9am every morning, ain't getting paid. Wait until our window is shut then give him a nonPIF Saudi club get out. £130m plus

I'd much rather not keep him for 3 years and have him run out his contract like

It sounds nice, but once that then means we don't have the money to further improve the team and we start struggling and missing out on qualifying for Europe, then reality will hit.

If what has been said is true and the manager and players are done to him to that extent, get the £130 million and give the players that are showing up everyday and giving their all a better and stronger team to go out and compete, so their efforts aren't being wasted.

It’s more the message it sends, if we cave in, what’s to stop other clubs using similar tactics next summer for Tonali, Hall, Tino, etc?

Isak is worth £150 million plus if he's settled and happy at the club, but unfortunately he's acted the cunt.

Why are you only capable of looking at this in isolation. You can't see what time it is? This is the first time our resolve has been tested and your advocating folding like a pack of cards.

We will have money to spend regardless of this, have you seen how much money gets pissed away in this league?

🙋‍♂️

Who wouldn’t want to keep one of the best strikers on the planet, man?

Three years.

(I think we’ll sell him next summer no questions but I’d love to have him this season)

It’s not as if nobody will tap up our players ever again if we don’t sell Isak.
