Cant see Leao happen but he would be a massive signing. Top class player, more dynamic than both Gordon and Barnes together, surely can play striker too. Only getting Larsen doesnt elevate our attack at all

FWIW, I was told last night that we were looking at Mainoo. The amount of players we've been 'looking at' is insane though, totally worthless information at this point.

Highly doubt we are interested in him. 

 

Only role he can really play for us is Bruno's. We got Ramsey to back up Joelinto/ replace Willock. 

 

Mainoo isn't a 6 either.

It's a shame our priorities have moved on because, apart from having a suspect season last year, I used to think he was a dream CB signing for us about a year ago. 

 

Whenever we played them I used to be so impressed by his strength and speed. Just seemed a machine and also decent on the ball.  Not paid enough attention but I guess he's fallen out of favour there.

What would Mainoo add to our midfield apart from another body? On top of Ramsey it would seem a bit excessive to me. A midfielder who is cultured on the ball and can unlock a defence that’s a different matter.

I know his wages have ruled him out, but given we are being quoted increasingly higher prices for fairly ordinary players, would there not be some sort of deal worth looking at with Vlahovic? He's available for £30m so that should give us some room with the wages, and he's a genuinely top rated striker.

Vlahovic is awful and would command wages we couldn't pay. Some Juve fans regard him as one of their biggest flops ever.

Mainoo under Howe could be class. When people talk about Hoiland’s phantom “potential” being ruined by Man U, I think more of guys like Mainoo who actually proved how good they were.

They can't all play at the same time and individually they don't push us higher than we are, just hopefully stop us slipping back too far.

What does he do? When he played for England he always looked pretty good on the ball (similar to Bruno) but I can't remember if he was the type of player who creates attacks or breaks them down?
