NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

For how long do we think Burn and Schär will last at this level? They both turn 34 this season. Can we rely on them for the next season aswell? Lascelles and Krafth are also ageing, so a centre back for the future would be nice next summer. Maybe even two if Botman doesn't have a good season. Replacements for Willock and Trippier will also be key. GK depends on how well Ramsdale does, same with our wingers.

Botman’s just about to become a major strength, surely. Or do you mean his contract?

I didn't get that remark either, Botman has been brilliant when he's played this season. Maybe he means injury issues?

I think it's a bit of frustrtation going around from the fact that he has barely been match fit for literally 2 years now (since september 2023). It's really hard to tell what he can do for us this season. Too early to judge for me.

Isn't that the result of one injury which was misdiagnosed originally, then in the end resulted in an operation for a long term fix? I think subsequent injuries have not been serious and unrelated. I know his contract is up in 2027 but I imagine we'll see how he gets on this season, and if it's injury free we'll look to extend it.

Yes, exactly. I wouldn't deem him injury prone yet. 2 years out (mostly out) can have a long term effect, though, but I think it's worse for wingers and such.

Unless these hindering financial rules change we're always going to del-boying it, with small incremental changes during each window. Until then, we'll never be able to spend as freely as we could in the way the cartel clubs do.

We (and other clubs) are being held back in an unfair way, that shit needs to change.

I also think that Botman is made of glass. I honestly hope I'm wrong but the stats are there. He plays a couple of games then misses half a dozen games due to injuries.

This summer has been particularly transparent.

The two highest net spenders were the teams that finished 1st and 2nd last season. We, supposedly with the shackles off after multiple windows with little to no investment, were outspent by each by over £100m and had to sell arguably our best player to one of them.

He had no prior injuries before the knee though. It might just be a case of him sorting out a few niggles after a long time out.

Feels like us bringing Elliot Anderson home as some sort of Joelinton replacement feels rather nailed on.

Its probably going to cost us 60+ to do that though..

However, even at that price, I think it would be a deal worth doing. We know his character and we know his quality. He could quite easily spend the rest of his career here.

In our last game at Leeds he actually went down in obvious pain just by running backwards. He gets injuries too frequent in my opinion. Again, I hope that I am wrong.

Love the idea, but we are not getting him for 60m.
Far improved player, full England international now and the prices we have seen this window.
Unless he does a Trent and we get him on a free.

Feel free to tomorrow…

Might be worth the tenner ( after the pie and peas is deduct) to ask.

Craig are you not embarrassed by the fact that your taking advantage of the fans desire to understand this window and make money by charging people to give your side of the story when this could be done on your social media channels at no cost to us fans and have a much wider audience , and would you consider donating any profit (after costs)from tonight to the Bobby Robson’s Foundation.

TBF, even if 200 turned up it’s probably not a big profit.
