Zero Posted Sunday at 19:14 Share Posted Sunday at 19:14 He looks out of form for the whole season. And suddenly played his best game for us. What a day.

KaKa Posted Sunday at 19:14 Share Posted Sunday at 19:14 So happy for Tino. He is such a gifted defender. Salah was completely blanketed.

Newcastle Fan Posted Sunday at 19:25 Share Posted Sunday at 19:25 That was a performance like no other, he's made one of the best players in the world disappear and showed just how good he was.

The man has everything to do that, and today he had the right mentality to execute. We should never forget it when he plays badly.

Conjo Posted Sunday at 20:31 Share Posted Sunday at 20:31 Dared to take on players, and clearly learnt from last game to continue his run and have a go at a cross despite it being on his weaker foot. Fantastic performance. Burn covering Salah nicely when Livramento pushed further up too, so he didn't keep him quiet all alone.
Menace Posted Sunday at 20:33 Share Posted Sunday at 20:33 I honestly think he's better at LB
Beren Posted Sunday at 20:36 Share Posted Sunday at 20:36 I've got my own substantial mea culpa to share (but that's for a different day), but so pleased for Tino to definitively shut down his detractors. He is the bee's knees IMO.

The Butcher Posted Sunday at 20:37 Share Posted Sunday at 20:37 Kept the best player in the World quiet for 90 minutes. Astonishing performance from him. Defensively he's as good as any. So impressive.
Conjo Posted Sunday at 20:37 Share Posted Sunday at 20:37 Just now, Menace said: I honestly think he's better at LB There's a good argument for this. I normally hate to play players out of position, but it seems easier for him to dribble from the left. With peace and love his technique, vision and passing isn't very good anyway so it's not a huge blow that he has to cross with his weaker foot. 1v1 defending which is his primary asset is probably easier against inverted left wingers too. TRon Posted Sunday at 20:45 Share Posted Sunday at 20:45 9 minutes ago, Menace said: I honestly think he's better at LB Think he's just a really good defender tbh, when he gets stick it's usually for what he does going forward. I was never really worried that he wouldn't be able to cope with Salah, although obviously Salah is capable of pulling out a worldie at any time. Leemond Posted Sunday at 21:35 Share Posted Sunday at 21:35 Thought he was just as good as Burn, who took the man of the match award. Really pleased for him. Felt Salah was completely anonymous throughout.
