Glad he did his part. He might not be as flashy as James Maddisson but we got the right Leicester player and he deserves his place among this group of lads. Chuffed for him and as said previously, he was great.

Gone up in my estimation over the last two games. He's been very good, even if yesterday he didn't contribute directly to much he was far more present and involved in the game.

He's got one more chance to try and keep that spot, however unlikely that may be.

There was one instance where I wish he took a shot from inside six yards instead of trying to pass to Schar (?).

Yeah, just watching it back now. Has to be ruthless there, far too selfless.

I reckon he's nailed on to net against Brentford.

The only place he could have went for would be near post and Kelleher is too good a keeper to get done there. Passing was the right option imo. If he had shot and missed everyone would have been saying he should have squared it. Cracking performance from him anyway.

Oh, he was great alright, but I'd have liked to see him go for it from there. There's probably only him and Isak I'd back to do it from such a tight angle!

I thought he was possibly our quietest player and least involved after the game, despite doing well.  But then watching extended highlights back, he was involved for loads of our chances and goals.  He won the corner for Burn's goal, he won the corner for Isak's disallowed goal and nearly had another assist for Isak to make it 3-0.

He does seem to drift out of games.  He is never going to be as busy as Gordon or even someone like Almiron.  But his quality in and around the box is top quality.  Only Isak is better than him when it comes to that movement, sharpness and knowing what run to make.  Often seems to react first and plays on the shoulder a lot.

His runs inside are class.  Need to start finding him like when Schar would look for Joelinton with the diagonal drifting infield.  He is always alert and looking to get in behind, which I love.

Whoever it was who said he would have been the little man striker in a 4-4-2 if he were born 10-20 years ago is absolutely spot on.  He seems more like a forward than a winger.

I thought he did very well. Surprised by comments that he drifted in/out as I thought he was busy and very involved in the attacking play.

If he does well against Brentford he will keep the starting spot - that is how Howe has tended to work in the past - if you’re playing well you keep the spot.

TBF, my comments were more about him in general and week to week. The front 3 were all very in and out of the game. Due to how we set up. But I thought they all did well to maximise the opportunities we had. Even if they were feeding off scraps at times.

If he's happy with his role, we have to keep him. If not, I think we'd get close to what we paid for him at least from someone like a West Ham or Everton in the summer. Not many clubs with quality like Gordon and Barnes in that position. Personally happy with whichever plays.

We’ll need a squad with Europe so he might well stay as he knows he’ll get game time. Interesting to see what happens in the summer.
