I can see the bench option angle. But since the cup final. He has consistently been one of our best players. 
 

If Gordon is going to start and I also think he might. Then I think it should be for Murphy, not Barnes.

Ideally, both Barnes and Gordon need to spend the off season improving their game on the right wing. It's in their best interests, as whoever is not in form on the left will get a chances on the right (if we don't sign a purple RW).

The way Barnes has been from West Ham away onwards. It’s mad how bad he was today. 
 

Even if he was just playing an average game. He would have had a few goal involvements. Just constantly made the wrong decision or had a shit touch/played a shit pass. 
 

He’ll come back from this. He was still finding some great positions in that inside channel again and is still really direct and purposeful with his play.

Yeah this nails it  I’d be more worried if he wasn’t getting involved and making the right runs etc.

There's not much to read into here. Shanked a couple of big chances but otherwise I thought his performance was fine. He also got clattered early on which I don't think he fully recovered from.
