Howe will probably go back to 4-3-3

For the last game of the season.

The way he took Barnes off when we needed a goal shows to me anyway that he's not his main pick.

So a Murphy isak Gordon front line Willock into midfield with tonali and bruno and a back four of Krafth schar burn and tino.

I’d inject Joelinton with something and get him out there. Same with Trips.

And run the risk of them and Isak breaking down in game or not being able to give 100%? I can understand Isak but I don't think we can carry more than one.

Everton aren't amazing but we need to show them respect. The other 10 + Isak should get the job done. If Joelinton and Trippier are fit enough to be involved great but I wouldn't  take too many risks when we shouldn't be that desperate.

Doing this when you have Botman fit and available though, seems an odd one to me.

Hopefully next week our front three (if no Isak) is:

Murphy - Gordon - Barnes

..but we know it won't be

Haven't seen the best of this guy yet.

Could well be on the chopping block for PSR but if he stays I think he is going to have a great season.

I really hope he isn’t.

He stepped the fuck up when it mattered most last season and Gordon was injured/way out of form. I’d hate to see him get chopped and I think we can afford to keep him on at least for this season before we might have to offload a purple before the PSR window next June.

Don’t think there is enough PSR profit to sell him. Hes probably worth 40 mill at 28 this year. And he still has 28 mill book value left. So for 12 mill profit, he’s not worth selling. Selling Longstaff is a better option for similar profit.

If I had to picture a quintessential Harvey Barnes type goal, it's exactly that.

Tika taka, hold onto the ball for too long, have one too many touches trying to walk it in, sideways and backwards…..?

Bollocks to that. Cut inside and twat it. The Barnes special.

He was fantastic for us in the final stretch last season, scored a bag of really key goals.

Beginning of last season aswell he was our top goalscorer, only for gordon to steal his place which shouldn't of happened.

His partnership with Tino played a big part in the cup success and the 5th place finish. I was fearing the worst when Hall was out for the season and Gordon was missing the final.

One of the best finishers I've ever seen at the club. Wand of a right foot when 1:1 with the keeper

Someone else and I mentioned in another thread that we'd rather him up top than Gordon.
