Just a goal pig. He's their dancing on the penalty spot whilst Gordon is laying the ball to Wolte to lay up the goal.

He's a wide player that scores 1 goal in 3 - you can't afford not to play him. Fair play on him doing the shift on the right, as Gordon clearly can't be arsed.

He tries to cross quickly like Murph does, but nobody on the end. Can tell he is not suited to playing RW, but will score a goal.

So happy we brought this guy, and Maddison is crocked at Spurs.

Barnes scores goals. He's a Ruud van Nistelrooy of left wingers.

Maybe not for a prolonged run of games but he seemed pretty involved (even excluding the goal) right up to 110 mins of you include first half stoppage time on weds

That was not ment as a negative comment about Barnes, it was more describing why I think in som games he drifts in and out. The way I do think Howe wants his team to play require a heavy load of intensity from especially the wingers - so the ideal imo would be to change the wingers around 60 min for them to be the most effective.

Put simply, Gordon doesn’t score either of those goals and we’d have lost or drawn at best.

Gordon doesn’t use his pace once he gets the ball, it’s infuriating. He’ll sprint to get the ball and immediately slow down as his first preference is to turn inside.

Of the 2 I’d have Barnes every time. He scores goals, he loves scoring goals, he’s not afraid to score goals.

He's absolutely red hot at the minute. Two games in a row the manager has left him on for the duration and he's came up trumps late on (and bagging the pen in the shootout) - good calls by Howe as often he would be the first wide player hooked.
