I think we'll have another good season, assuming at least one new defender comes in.

I think Arsenal will have difficulty in getting over the trauma of last season's collapse. I don't think the players they're bringing in are better than the ones they're replacing.

Can Arsenal spunk 200m again and be classed as overachievers if they come second?

My dad said to me the other day that they now have the most expensive squad in the PL - CBA to check, but if true then they do a remarkable job of going on like they’re working miracles

I don't think Arsenal have bought sensibly over the summer. Havertz looks very much a player who is better suited to football on the continent, and I can't see Rice fitting in with their style at all.

With missing out on the title last time, it's tempting to rush into the transfer market, as if to 'make sure this time'. What they lacked last time was experience (including the manager), not quality. Apart from striker maybe.

Despite the fuss over their Community Shield victory, I wasn't that impressed.

Considering champions League and all i wouldn't be totally shocked at 6th, i would be more upset at being behind Chelsea who will be better but don't think that much better. We do not have a squad that can be certain of it yet.

Are we winning this fuckin league this year then ? Man City have lost some great players and their best players are older now, Liverpool have had a shite window, Arsenal are so far up their own arse to know what's going on, Man Utd have made shite transfers and Chelsea have 100 players to keep happy.

Newcastle for the title I reckon.

You've almost persuaded me. I certainly think we'll do better than is generally being predicted, providing we don't get too embroiled in too many cup competitions.

You make a decent point about Man City, but watching them on Saturday, they are still very good at starving the opposition of the ball. They have the experience so they must still be heavy favourites.

Spurs, Chelsea and Man U are in transition. I don't think Arsenal have bought well. However, Liverpool have some momentum from last season and should push on. I disagree - I think they've had a good window. Winning the league now takes 90 points, and Liverpool have proved they can do it.

It should be interesting.

I've seen various videos but every pundit just seems to say "NUFC? Won't manage CL and PL commitments. 6th to 8th". It seems like we are not worthy of any other analysis. Nobody bothers to talk about our strengths and weaknesses or how our signings, Gordon included, may change how we play. This week, I've heard more about Poch being nice to club staff like the dinner lady or how Arsenal's new number two keeper might affect their number one.

At Chelsea, Havertz scored about 60% of his xG for three straight seasons. That's 40% worse than an average striker, say Danny Ings. For one season, you can dismiss it as luck, but three seasons is a lot of evidence.

Found the analysis of Top 4 predictions this season to be absolutely shite, so far, even from the better ones.

For me, the only clear outcome is Man City will definitely be top 4 and are very likely to win the league again. I think Arsenal will be top 4, likely second, but I actually think there'll be some regression from last year as their signings aren't a great fit (and if Saliba picks up another injury then they've got real problems). Man U were very dodgy at times last season and their signings so far don't suggest that much improvement. Liverpool still have a soft centre. Chelsea have the ability in their ranks and a good enough manager to do far better but I won't be that worried about them unless Caicedo signs. Spurs feel even more Spursy than ever...

We could honestly finish anywhere between 2nd and 9th [emoji38]
