Might be a bit unpopular opinion, but Matt Targett is anyways slightly better player than Hall. More solid defensively and is a better crosser of the ball.  So no worries. Been very impressed of Targett lately. Discuss.

Have I got the thread for you today...

Looks like he could have played through it from that comment, but we learned from the Botman situation last year, which is good.

Wish him a speedy sound recovery.

Would like to see Targett get a run and find some good form and prove his fitness over a period.

Could do with him being a solid backup going forward.

Actually ...

With Hall now going to be coming off an injury, we'll likely need such more reliable backup of better quality. Especially if we're in Europe.

Just remembered that Tyrick Mitchell is going to a free agent this summer.

That would be a heck of a pick up.

Palace fans are saying he isn’t on a free fwiw. Apparently triggered an automatic one year extension.

Ah, that's a shame. Fair enough.

Kyle Walker-Peters though would be a lovely old pick up though.

Yeah, not a bad shout.

He's out of contract right?

Can't believe he's only 27 still.

Sounds like it could’ve been something that’s pushed back till summer, but then than may do longer term damage and he misses pre season. Better at young stage in career, miss 20% of season, get a full pre season and hit ground running.

For him also, should see him called up to September international break too.

Does anyone know if he was there? I’ve been looking through the photos but can’t seem to find him. Such a shame he’s had to miss out as he was a big part of it.

Said it in match thread, I couldn't see any of him so wasn't sure if he was somewhere because of the surgery. Said it would be a shame he misses out, but I'm sure the players would've had him on facetime and he'd be loving things, with his leg cocked up.

How are we gonna cope with Hall and Isak going to Liverpool in the same summer Bruno goes to Arsenal and Tonali heads back to Italy. :undecided:

Isak is easily the biggest miss imo. Not only are we losing Isak, but we’re also strengthening Arsenal and Liverpool by them having the best striker around.

Whats the fuss about? I assume there's many 12-13 years old Newcastlefans as well that are dreaming of signing a couple of Liverpools best players too.

The weirdness of pools and arses fanbases increases by the day. Humble yourselves lads. One of ya’s chucked another title race and the other just bottled a cup final and is losing nearly a third of its starting xl for nothing this summer. Isak and Bruno are going nowhere near you lot. Go and watch premier league years for a bit then realise it’s not 2005 anymore.
