Any defender who can pass a football always ends up with calls to hoy them into midfield. Almost like you just need to pass a ball to be a midfielder.

 

Bet it wouldn’t take long to search for similar calls for Schär, Mbemba, Alexander-Arnold, Stones etc.

He played all over for Chelsea and we saw he wasn't a LB by inclination when he first came.

 

The game is full of players who can be equally as effective in more than one position or who moved positions during their career, especially when young.

He’s been very good overall this season bar the odd poor decision in our half which you often do get away with now. I think he’s the heir to Trippier albeit on the left, very much a WB.
