He is doing the job that Trippier once did.

I mean, Trippier was only on the pitch for 30 minutes and he ended up third for pass progression  Imagine having two fullbacks delivering that kinda output at the same time. Shame Trippier is kinda finished, maybe.

Thought he had a couple of tough games in a row where he made a couple of minor mistakes and was punished for them.

Responded with a performance like that. Was pretty much flawless today.

There will always be moments defensively, and the Liverpool game recently was rough, but he has shown improvement in general this season defensively, and I was very sceptical.

The team being poor this season has allowed some room to play through it without as much pressure, as there have been lots of other issues, which has benefitted him.

Going forward he is very very good.

I genuinely thought Tino had the higher ceiling but this kid is everywhere at the moment. He’s the archetypal modern full back.

To be fair, as good as Hall is going forward, I think Tino isn't far off, but from a defensive stand point. And this is often easier to overlook.

I'm sure I've said before but I think that they're going to be a massively complimentary pairing for us and England long term. Tino offering the defensive steel while Hall goes forward, but neither being a big liability going the other way so they can swap that role from time to time to keep opponents on their toes.

The way Hall plays he's going to get the plaudits but I hope it doesn't lead people to think Tino is a disappointment by comparison as he's still on course to be a fantastic player, just in a different mould.

They are just different really.

Tino is comfortably better defensively than Hall.

Hall better offensively while Tino better defensively.
