What a result, proper payback on Emery for Howe after last season. The next few games will prove how much of a factor the fatigue was, and the benefits of increased preparation time.. another win on Saturday would be absolutely huge.

I didn't think of the manager warfare, that's so good. Have a taste of these nuts.

On a separate note, John McGinn really fucking irks me.

Pretty decent, just his face or something.

He was getting really frustrated chasing Bruno all game. Was glorious to see.

Pat Nevin’s a cock. Once made me spill my coffee and don’t apologise.

Once give me and me fatha a proper hacky look for taking the extra leg room seats on KLM. Dunno what he was doing in Newcastle mind but was going to commentate on man utd Ajax. Wanker

Absolutely tremdous that. But what on earth was up with Villa? They were astoundingly subdued right from the off. And their support was shambolic throughout. A very weird night all round but we will take it all day long.

Theyre definitely going through a rough patch but it happens. I’m sure theyll Be fine in the end. Definitely be looking over their shoulder though, form and confidence changes quickly in football.

Stats nerds say villa performed better and should have won 7-0

Nah, we dominated those too.

Really happy with that performance, we were really good apart from that 10 minute spell when Bailey was subbed on before Tino nullified him. Happy I can finally go read the Howe thread too. :aww:

I honestly think we can still finish above these, would be confident if we had a full squad. Emery will take them to the final in Europe and they'll be playing two games a week a lot and that was a shocking performance by both the team and the crowd.

The media love for the likes of villa and Liverpool is embarrassing.

When you think we absolutely battered these 5-1 at home and we didn't get much credit that day either.

Absolutely amazing result, for me Sunderland away has turned our season

We've played 10 home league matches, won 9 and drawn 1, scored 29 and conceded 8.

We also won 7 out of our last 7 home league matches at the end of last season, and haven't lost at home in the league since Arsenal beat us, very nearly a year ago.
