Miley is a 17 yr old kid, he is just not up to it. His game misses defensive awareness and he does not use the space around him to his advantage.

Add to that Lingstaff and bruno having a mare... EXPOSED

Exactly. He shouldn't be out there every wee, he needs protecting. Not his fault. He is overexposed.

No he's slow mentally and physically. He was not the Dutch centre half we needed to buy.

I wonder if he might still need that operation... He was unflappable last season

HT.

Arsenal have been exceptional and we can't deal with them.

Technically we're still in it but ultimately it's about damage limitation.

We aren’t in this. The game was won as soon as they went a goal up.

Arsenal are taking their foot off because they can, and they possibly have more difficult games ahead.

Miley and Longstaff are so limited in a game like this, neither are particularly good in the tackle, and it's a game where you've got to go and fight for the ball, no energy, no pace, and both look bamboozled.

This. Midfield is the problem and has been since we lost an entire midfield (Joelinton, Willock, Tonali and Anderson).

People desperate for Tino to come in for Burn and think all our problems were solved we're always going to be in for a shock.

We’ve been absolutely appalling so far. We are a much better team than this.

Let’s sort this out a bit at half time and try and give them a bit of a game. We are just rolling over at the moment.

Well this is just obviously not true. He's class, he's looked brilliant in most games he's played, this is just a massive off-day so far

Would get Miley into the #10 to get closer to Isak and make Longstaff and Bruno a double pivot. Too often the defence have had the ball and only had Bruno to pass to who’s had 3 men round him.

Think I’d trust Miley more than Longstaff deeper to get on the ball and not make a mess of it. Then have Almiron off Gordon (Get Isak off before we break him) and Murphy on the wing.

Best of a bad situation.

Would even say Hall as CM is probably our 2nd best player after Bruno for taking ball in tight areas and moving it.

Obviously the commentators are having a wankfest over Arsenal's performance - and they are good at the moment - but pretty sure we are making them look a lot better than they are. We lack pace in too many areas of the pitch and the players know it. They have looked beaten from the first whistle.

Midfield unable to protect the defence or play around the Arsenal press. Longstaff and Miley just not able to support Bruno against this level of opposition.

Shar and Botman also too careless playing the ball out from the back.

Need our more athletic midfielders back badly.

Not anyone’s fault really, he’s just the last available midfielder. Longstaff is just as bad if not worse.

Honestly not sure the team or formation or anything else was going to matter much tonight. This is the aggrieved Arsenal I feared would show up.

We could have at least shown up with a bit of effort.

Arsenal have been great.  We haven't.  At all.

The constant backwards passes when it's been clear since the 1st minute that they're going to press the defenders immediately has been infuriating.  The ball goes backwards and we get stuck on the edge of our own box with fewer and fewer ways out giving Arsenal chance after chance.  I'm not sure how to change it easily but they simply cannot continue playing that way, it's suicidal.
