Getting them in the semi at Wembley would be worse, in a strange way think we have a better chance of an upset at their place.

Stop being an optimistic happy clapper ;)

Does anyone remember when ruud gulllit reckoned they nufc are cursed? Well - it makes you wonder. The 5 cup finals we’ve reached and lost in my lifetime - we’ve played Man United x2, Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City. Cup draws this season have been really bad. Typical Newcastle.

Some years ago there was an exhibition at the Discovery Museum about the siege of Newcastle during the English Civil War.

A group of women were apparently executed for witchcraft by the old gallows gate. Perhaps in that moment, 360 odd years ago, one of those dying souls cast a curse upon our fair city, within sight of what would become our sporting home.

Just hope we turn up and attack them. Let’s go out in a blaze, not sump limp dick display like we saw against Arsenal at weekend, or even the league game at Man City at start of season, where we just sat off and gave far too much respect.

Agreed. All in. Windmilling like Blyths coastline.

Here's me trying to be optimistic. Their fixtures for the next month:

Man Utd (h)

CL - Copenhagen (h)

Liverpool (a)

(CL quarterfinal draw on Mar. 15)

NUFC (h)

(Internationals)

Arsenal (h)

Villa (h)

Maybe their attention will be elsewhere? It may not even matter if it is. Really wish this was at home. Also wish they weren't comfortably camped out at home for a month.

We've beaten them before.

We had a midfield then and teams didnt slice us open like warm butter. They also had some stars out. Lets hope we can get a little better before this fixture or it will just be another Arsenal game chasing shadows. Dont know why I bother writing this. We all know how this game will pan out.
