Lloyd Kelly (on loan at Juventus)

Recommended Posts

I'm with @TheBrownBottle - all the explanations for why this isn't a weird loan+purchase still make no sense to me. Maybe I'm still just Ashley-pilled but ... Juventus? Buying a defender?? From us!!?! Still coming to grips with it tbh.

There's also some cynical part of me thinks maybe PIF and the Agnelli's are chums and this deal wasn't just about football.

Lloyd Kelly isn't "shit"

I totally agree with the bemusement over how a free transfer, rarely used footballer ends up being transferred from Newcastle to Juventus, for £20m BUT he's not shit.

Some of our cohort are brutal enough online but the Italians go full face on.

Maybees a bit of frustration on Juve fans part, similar to many over here, accepting a "lesser" player than their aspirations/legacy would pander to.

He hardly featured to be judged so harshly by anyone. Most of his 90 minutes came in cup games, with his best display for us at home to Spurs earlier in the season helping assist Harvey Barnes. Four 90 minute matches this season to be wrote off by everyone.

There has been a lot of wild things that have happened recently, Elon Musk running a nation state, the US threatening to invade Canada, a nationwide power cut in Sri Lanka happening due to a Monkey, but I think Lloyd Kelly starting for Juventus in the Champions League is proof we're living in a simulation. What a world.

"Pretty sure he kicked the ball out of bounds three times in a row during the second half. It was absolutely horrendous. Shame on the clown who is buying him."

"Woeful signing. Basically this season's version of Danilo but he costs 20m and we are stuck with him."

"instead of an eye for talent, cuntoli has a nose for shit. it takes a lot to smell this accidental footballer from the bench of newcastle."

"What a piece of shit. Man pls be as injury prone as you were at Newcastle atleast we won’t have to witness you „playing football"

Don’t see any justified fault or blame there. Great control and finish.

He’s let the opposition take a ball down without a challenge is his first mistake.
