Watching him he isn't really very good. Gets goals though, I guess that's what matters, but I can imagine the goals drying up as his all round game is average.

We wanted him but his wage demands were too high. He's doing well and could have done a job for us but at 100k per week it's a pass. After all nobody would have been happy if we bought him in to start.

I don't think any player has been more denigrated than DCL every time there was even a passing link to the guy 

 

As is typical of this forum, he was called shit and washed in every which way, when he was just stuck in a rotten situation at Everton.

 

And so it's just amusing seeing him banging them in at newly promoted Leeds of all places, after the standard over the top carry on about him on here. 

 

So you can be annoyed all you want, but that's your issue to deal with. No idea what you're getting wound up about.

 

It's looking a great deal for Leeds on a free transfer, which is why he could get away with asking for £100,000 a week,  so fair play to Leeds. Good for them.

This isn't really true though.

 

His hold up play has always been good. He's also a decent outlet down the channels.

I do agree, he's very good in the air in general play

 

The last few seasons his issue has been his finishing, it's been terrible and he would constantly miss sitters but he's on a great run of form right now 

 

Last season his shot conversion was 6%, he's at 21% this season

I find it even funnier you think this is about right and wrong opinions 

 

It's about how relentlessly annoying a lot of you are when you get on the "player is shit" carry on. And anyone that says different is shut down and mocked. I was far from the only person that thought he'd do well elsewhere.

 

And so I'll always be quick to remind the loud mouths when they start looking dumb. 

 

Especially because they always get rattled and start crying about it. That particularly is what gives me life my friend

We create chances for whoever plays up front for us, shown by Gordon missing loads when striker. DCL would've scored  a good amount and he was someone I was happy to go after once Wilson was off as he was a freebie for 2 seasons with potential sale once we showed he was useful. 
 

Instead we have Osula, who once sold we will need to replace in squad. And whilst Wissa will come good (hopefully) he was a signing we had to pay insane premium on because of a lack of strikers.

Looking back at my post history, I said I wouldn't be against signing DCL way back in June 2024, only two days after I'd called him shite. So all you have to do is cover all bases like me and you can be as wise as Kaka too.

Never rated him at Everton tbf, he’s showing great form for Leeds. Still doubt he’d have done well in our team, he’s a Chris Wood-esque type of striker.

 

Saying that, considering we could have had him for fuck all and still signed Wolte and Wissa instead of playing Gordon up front for the first few games.

 

Hindsight and stuff lol 😂
