Paul Mitchell - Leaves Club (Hope); No He Hasn't (Edwards)

Recommended Posts

He's got five whole days now to get something lined up in time for the transfer window to open.

I'll be slightly disappointed if we don't see anyone come in during this "mini" window before the Club World Cup.

For someone who claimed that the club's previous transfer structure was not fit for purpose he's set the bar high

[emoji38] hope he doesn't read this forum.

How else is he gonna know who he should be trying to sign?

That would be good, but they should be doing it on their terms. It shouldn't be forced because a bunch of mouth-breathing neckbeards are crying on Twitter.

Nah.  Honestly management should be expected to communicate at least quarterly.  Owners Managing Directors and the like get to hide behind mangers too much. Daniel Levy in particular. He’s the boss at Spurs and seems to say next to nothing publicly. That’s his entire club.

Transfer window opens June 1?

For a bit  then closes for a bit and then reopens for a bit longer and then shuts.

At what point does it slam shut?

I've heard Eddie, in his pre match briefing to the lads, uses individual player's assessments as posted by our very own David Edgar

I'm really reserving judgement on Mitchell. I've been Team Eddie from the start and believe Mitchell was happy to upset the applecart when he came in by slagging off the systems and people and, with no inside knowledge, I presumed it was because he wanted his mate Poch in. There is nothing to base this on other than gut feel. Eales has had an easy ride as the PSR over spend was on his watch and he manoeuvred the blame on Amanda and Mehrdad and remained unscathed. Eddie performed wonders and neither Eales or Mitchell have achieved anything for Newcastle yet. The next 10 weeks will be very interesting as to whether they are as elite in their roles as Eddie is in his. I hope they are.

Jim White likes this, he now has a massive erection until it closes.
