TenkoDaLuz Posted July 14 Share Posted July 14 (edited) I am just realizing how similar the path England is making to Portugal's 2016: - Plays horribly during the group stage and gets rewarded by finishing in the easier side of the bracket - 1/8 finals draw at normal time, wins at extra time with a header - 1/4 finals from 0-1 to 1-1 then win at PKs 5-3 - 1/2 finals finally wins during the 90 mins - Final against a stronger side in theory On top of this the Aljubarrota battle as well the Napoleonic battles fought in Portugal were basically Portugal+England vs Spain+France.
