Playing for Denmark is the scam. I'm sure Osula would have learnt in his childhood that this is what your lot think of his father's people, and so hopefully he makes the smart choice, and saves himself further humiliation once things don't go right and the emojis start flooding his inbox.

Come on now Kaka.

Bayern Munich after some Big Willy?

Will Osula’s rise to prominence may have truly happened after he left Sheffield United, but the Blades retained a financial interest in the striker when he moved to Newcastle United two summers ago. The Premier League side paid an initial £10m fee for the then-unproven Danish striker.

The deal United negotiated included a range of performance-related add-ons and, crucially, a sell-on clause should he move on from St. James’ Park for more than the fee Newcastle paid in the future.

Although the exact percentage has not been disclosed, it would represent a significant sum should Osula go on to realise his potential - with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich the latest club to be linked with him this week.

Bayer Leverkusen are also said to be keeping tabs on a player who was close to a £30m move to Frankfurt not too long back which would have landed the Blades a few more million pounds at a handy time.

Sell-on clauses typically work as a percentage of the profit the selling club makes on a player, meaning United’s chunk would be calculated on whatever Newcastle make minus their £10m initial investment.

Depending on the terms of their arrangement, there is also a chance that any outstanding add-ons in the deal also become payable upon a sale. At a time when United are tightening their belts after the expiry of their parachute payments, any windfall would be an undoubted bonus.

we should definitely keep him. he’s lively as fuck, gets in good positions, can turn a defender and run them. just needs to double his hit rate and you’ve got a top draw prem striker. I’d hate for him to be another Ivan Toney we sold and seen how he developed elsewhere

Feel like the staff have done the hard yards with him and we're just starting to see it bear fruit, would be a real shame to sell now. Of course he'll have his price and if there's silly money thrown at him it makes sense but I'd hate to see him go for anything other than a whopping fee.

Can't see any point in selling him now. If teams like Forest can have Awoniyi/Wood/Jesus for basically the same position or Palace can have 3, surely we can carry a selection of strikers.

Unfortunately if there is a desire to bring a striker in and big nick or wissa can't go due to lack of interest or massive financial loss or simply dont want to go. He may have to be sacrificed as the one who generates a paper profit to help fix the summer flops.

Getting a big fee for Gordon and going for a hybrid forward may be the alternative to that happening I guess.

We already have a hybrid forward ready on the left -- Barnes and you could use Osula in the same fashion on the right, then bring in a new CF. Sell Elanga and probably one from Wissa and Woltemade

You say sell like there will be a club willing to take them that doesnt mean crippling us financially.

No doubt people would loan wissa but it's not going to bring any income to buy a replacement. We will get low balled for either of the other 2 as we paid over the odds for both (dont recall anyone bidding for elanga and bayern reportedly stopped well short of what we paid)

Also based on this season Gordon is our hybrid forward playing left and centrally in this scenario Gordon would be gone so going for another who can play across the front 3 does make sense.

People keep saying this but we can't sell any of Elanga, Wissa or Woltemade unless we take less than a 20-25% loss on them or PSR will kill us.

Do you really see us getting £40m for Elanga or Wissa or £55m for Woltemade? It isn't happening. So Osula may need to be the one to go.

Would be disappointed to see him sold, he's a better player than Woltemade imo and has more developmental potential too. He's perhaps even ahead of Wissa too, although I do believe there's more to come from him.

Hope we keep him.

PSR headroom would be the purpose tbh - we’ve got none, so it’s sell to buy time

I don't think it's much of a controversial take tbh [emoji38] He's got way more to his game now he's been given a run of games to show the work he's been putting in these last few years. He's 2 years or so younger too.

He's faster than Woltemade. That's about it.
