People really are going a bit crazy about today, like. Murphy would’ve filled his boots today from start to finish.

We are just happy for the lad is all.

I want to see him do well and get a fair crack of the whip playing wise.

Plus he would of been playing with a stalk on after the goal went in 😂

Not many players can do that.

Agreed. Well done Ronnie. We don't usually agree.

Eddie Howe on his striker: "It was a big moment for Will. Any striker wants to score when they go to a new club – they want to score early just to settle them down. He’s been waiting and waiting and needing that goal, really. It was a spectacular one when it came – what a strike from him. We have seen that regularly in training, he's a good finisher."

🚀🔥What a strike for his first goal. Thrilled for him. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thought he played well, looked very keen, made a good run when he rounded the keeper (great ball from Miley too), and great goal.

appreciate it was only Bromley, but also important to remember we have only seen him have any real game time in rotated teams, against opposition who have sat back.

id be really interested to see how he did with our regular midfield & wingers alongside him, against an opposition that would be less defensive.

Kind of goal you can see Isak scoring, took it brilliantly. Didn’t do much otherwise but talent to work with

It looks like training with Isak every day is starting to have an effect on him.

Can’t tell if is just the opposition, but he looked really quick. There was times he was running back to win ball, and he was eating yards quicker than I’ve seen any of our players do.

Absolute traction of a left foot. I’m onboard that there’s something to work with him and he can become a real good 2nd choice striker next season.

Regardless of opposition, it was a pretty spectacular goal on his weaker foot, and it was a nice glimpse into the kind of talent he possesses.

Just watching his goal again, I think he really resembles Jonas with the way he carries the ball. Quick, gangly, never looks totally in control - but somehow very much is. I'm sure he's not even properly set when he connects with the shot.

Not a bad comparison in how he runs with the ball actually

I've noticed a few say he is clumsy or doesn't look in control of the ball.

It's really just his gait and how he runs I think. He is so gangly!

He actually seems to have good technique and is very confident on the ball.

Looks dangerous taking on players.

I still get Collymore Vibes off him. Probably more explosive actually but maybe not as cute. He’s raw but sometimes that appeals to me watching a player as you get to see them develop in front of you.

I kind of see what you mean, but think Collymore had a bit more natural skill, but that’s still a really good comparison.

It was a shame Eddie took him off 8 minutes after scoring, particularly since we ended up with no striker at all not long after. Obviously there's some degree of motivation going on here but I think he'd have benefited playing the full game and maybe getting another.

The run he makes for the one on one he wastes is really good and he shows great pace.  Quite impressive that we've probably only seen him get space a handful times in his apps so far and he's been put through for a chance and also put in down the line for a goal.

In a more open game, he would look a lot better.  But he is still really raw and a bit wayward with some of his play.  So I do understand Howe being reluctant to give him more minutes.  I do think he offers far more than Gordon up top, mind.  But if Isak is coming off, it's usually going to mean we have a lead.  But in these cup games or God forbid, when Isak is missing.  I'd rather see him up top.

He seems a great lad, attitude looks good and he's clearly popular with the other players given the celebrations for his goal. Hopefully he can get some more minutes and pop up with a few goals between now and the end of the season

Saw something about him having to be dragged away from celebrating his goal? Not sure how much bollocks it was.

From what I saw, which was only the second half, he looks like a puppy with big paws. Optimistic he can grow into them with our coaching and squad ethos. Agree with everyone saying he looks desperate to please, which it's hard not to find endearing, even if he does need to wise up.

Well that was a pack of lies, then. Was on the end of 'concerted shouting' from Trippier to calm him down and get him back in position, according to Louise Taylor.
