Might have been a condition of the deal and not up to us. If they did leave him out they could hardly claim that we surprisingly came with a last minute offer that was to good to turn down. And that because of the late timing they didnt have time to reinvest the funds into the squad.

Never known a transfer like this where there is so much noise suggesting it’s happening whilst at the same time there being absolutely nothing tangible whatsoever to corroborate the noise. A tweet gets put out saying “it’s close” and then there’s just nothing, for days.

Guehi may not play either way, Palace have been one of those teams to rotate heavily in the cups in years gone by. Depends on whether Glasner wants to go for it.
